1 Introduction Divine health was God's original plan for all humanity when He created Adam. Death, which includes sickness and disease, was an outcome Adam's disobedience to God. All mankind inherited the consequences of Adam's sin. Thankfully, God sent His Word to heal us. His word became flesh; Jesus. With Him came an an inheritance of eternal life, which includes divine healing. It seems that everyone is faced with a health challenge at one time or another. Whether it's a simple case of the sniffles or a life threatening illness, God's word is the power to heal. Even if you enjoy perfect health, these scriptures can serve as preventative medicine. In whatever situation you find yourself, this document is for you. It's freely given and you may freely pass it on to others. As you read this, picture yourself as the one for whom the promise of healing was made. If you're God's child, the promise of healing belongs to you. HEALING SCRIPTURES I will shall serve You Lord my God, and You will bless my bread and my water. And You will take sickness away from the midst of me. Exodus 23:25 19 You call heaven and earth as witnesses today against me, that You have set before me life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore I choose life, that both my descendants and I may live; 20 that I may love the Lord my God, that I may obey His voice, and that I may cling to Him, for He is my life and the length of my days; Deuteronomy 30:19,20 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalms 16:11 He asked life from You, and You gave it to him Length of days forever and ever. 1

2 Psalms 21:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. Psalms 27:4 O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me. Psalm 30:2 12. Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good? 13. Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. 14. Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:12-14 I ll delight myself in the Lord and He shall give me the desires of my heart. Psalm 37:4 Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion who seek to destroy my life; Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor who wish me evil. Psalm 40:14 The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me A prayer to the God of my life. Psalm 42:8 Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You! Psalm 86:2 With long life You will satisfy me, and show me Your salvation. Psalm 91:16 2. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3. Who forgives all my iniquities, Who heals all my diseases, 4. Who redeems my life from destruction, Who crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5. Who satisfies my mouth with good things, So that my youth is renewed like the eagle s. Psalm 103:2-5 He sent His word and healed me, and delivered me from my destructions. Psalm 107:20 2

3 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Psalm 118:17 Remember the word to Your servant, Upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your word has given me life. Psalm 119:49,50 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you. Proverbs 3:1,2 For whoever finds wisdom finds life, And obtains favor from the LORD Proverbs 4:8-35 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many. Proverbs 4: I give attention to God s words; I incline my ear to His sayings. 21. I do not let them depart from my eyes; I keep them in the midst of my heart; 22. For they are life to me who finds them, And health (medicine) to all my flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30 He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. Proverbs 13:3 A faithful ambassador brings health. Proverbs 13:17...the tongue of the wise is health. Proverbs 12:18 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet to my soul and health to my bones. Proverbs 16:24 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, Proverbs 18:14 Death and life are in the power of my tongue, I love life and will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 I will not fear, for You are with me; I will not be dismayed, for You are my God. You will strengthen me, 3

4 Yes, you will help me, You will uphold me with Your righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 He (Jesus) was wounded for my transgressions, He was bruised for my iniquities; The chastisement for my peace was upon Him, And by His stripes I was healed. Isaiah 53:5 This is the fast God has chosen... God s light shall break forth like the morning, His healing shall spring forth speedily, His righteousness shall go before me; The glory of the LORD shall be my rear guard. Isaiah 58:8 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise. Jeremiah 17: Through the Lord s mercies I am not consumed, because His compassions fail not. 23. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, Therefore I hope in Him! Lamentations 3:22-24 If I have walked in Your statutes and kept Your judgments faithfully You are just; you shall surely live! Says the Lord God. Ezekiel 18:9 What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. Nahum 1:9 For me who fears Your Name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings. And I will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. Malachi 4:2 23. Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demonpossessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. Matthew 4:23,24 1. When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. 4

5 2. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean. 3. Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, I am willing; be cleansed. Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8: Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6. saying, Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented. 7. And Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him. 8. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it. 10. When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! 11. And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 13. Then Jesus said to the centurion, Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you. And his servant was healed that same hour. Matthew 8: She [the woman with the issue of blood] said to herself, If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well. 22. But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well. And the woman was made well from that hour. Matthew 9:21,22 According to my faith let it be to me. Matthew 9: When Jesus had come into Peter s house, He saw his wife s mother lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. Matthew 14, When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Matthew 8:16,17 5

6 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matthew 9:35...great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. Matthew 12:15...when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. Matthew 14:14 Jesus answered, Woman [little dog], great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire. And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Matthew 15:28 Great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus feet, and He healed them. Matthew 15:30 Jesus saw their faith [paralytic let down through the roof]... Mark 2:5 Jesus said to [to the woman who touched His clothes], Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction. Mark 5: Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. 47. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! 48. Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me! 49. So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you. 50. And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. 51. So Jesus answered and said to him, What do you want Me to do for you? The blind man said to Him, Rabboni, that I may receive my sight. 52. Then Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has made you well. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. Mark 10:46-52 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them,and you will have them. Mark 11:24 [Jesus said] The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, 6

7 Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; Luke 4: Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon s house. But Simon s wife s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. 39. So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. 40. When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. Luke 4:38-40 The whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. Luke 6: There came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus feet and begged Him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him. 43. Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. 45. And Jesus said, Who touched Me? When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, Who touched Me? 46. But Jesus said, Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me. 47. Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. 48. And He said to her, Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace. 49. While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue s house, saying to him, Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher. 50. But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well. When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping. And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead. 51. But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, Little girl, arise. Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat. 7

8 Luke 8: Jesus called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke 9:1,2 The multitudes followed Jesus; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. Luke 9: Jesus answered and said, Were there not ten [lepers] cleansed? But where are the nine? 18. Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner? 19. And He said to him, Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well. Luke 17: So Jesus stood still and commanded [the blind man] to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, 41 saying, What do you want Me to do for you? He said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. 42 Then Jesus said to him, Receive your sight; your faith has made you well. 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. Luke 18: There was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, Do you want to be made well? 7. The sick man answered Him, Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me. 8. Jesus said to him, Rise, take up your bed and walk. 9. And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. John 5:1-9 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. You [Jesus] have come that I may have life, and that I may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 8

9 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7 Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:23,24 2. And a certain man lame from his mother s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, Look at us. 5. So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6. Then Peter said, Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. 7. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them walking, leaping, and praising God. Acts 3:2-8 His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. Acts 3:16 A multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed. Acts 5:16 8. And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother s womb, who had never walked. 9. This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, Stand up straight on your feet! And he leaped and walked. Acts 14: God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12. so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Acts 19:11,12 9

10 The righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1: Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. 29. Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also Romans 3:27-29 God, Who gives life to the dead, calls those things which do not exist as though they did... Romans 4:17 I don t waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but am strong in faith, giving glory to God, 21 I am fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. Romans 4:20,21 To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6 If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to my mortal body through His Spirit who dwells in me. Romans 8:11 8. The word is near me, in my mouth and in my heart (that is, the word of faith which I preach): 9 that if I confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead, I will be saved. Romans 10:8,9 No temptation has overtaken me except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow me to be tempted beyond what I am able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that I may be able to bear it. I Corinthians 10:13 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. I Corinthians 15:14 Thanks be to God, who gives me the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 15:57 3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 10

11 4. Who comforts me in all my tribulation, that I may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which I myself am comforted by God. II Corinthians 1:3,4 All the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. II Corinthians 1:20 Thanks be to God Who always leads me in triumph in Christ. II Corinthians 2:14 I have this treasure in an earthen vessel, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of me. 8. I am hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; I am perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed always carrying about in my body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in my body. II Corinthians 4: Since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I believed and therefore I spoke, I also believe and therefore speak, 14. knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise me up with Jesus, and will present me with you. II Corinthians 4:13,14 I walk by faith, not by sight. II Corinthians 5:7 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20 No one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for the just shall live by faith. Galatians 3:11 2. I have honored my father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise: 3 that it may be well with me and I may live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:2,3 10. I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. I have on the whole armor of God, that I may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:10,11 I take the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 11

12 Ephesians 6:16 I am confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in me will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; Philippians 1:6 24. To remain in the flesh is more needful for you. 25. And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith. Philippians 1:24,25 6. I don t worry about anything; instead, I pray about everything; I tell God my needs, and I don t forget to thank Him for His answers. 7. Since I do this, I will experience God s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep my thoughts and my heart quiet and at rest as I trust in Christ Jesus. 8. Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy I meditate on these things. Philippians 4: May the God of peace Himself make me entirely pure and devoted to God; and may my spirit, soul and body be kept strong and blameless until that day when my Lord Jesus Christ comes back again. I Thessalonians 5:23 I fight the good fight of faith. I lay hold on eternal life, to which I was also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I Timothy 6:12 As a holy brethren, partaker of the heavenly calling, I consider the Apostle and High Priest of my confession, Christ Jesus. Hebrews 3:1 2. Indeed, the gospel was preached to me as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3. For I who have believed do enter that rest. Hebrews 4:2,3 I hold fast the confession of my hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrew 10: I ll not cast away my confidence, which has great reward. 36. For I have need of endurance, so that after I have done the will of God, I may receive the promise. Hebrews 10:35,36 12

13 Now I, the just shall live by faith; But if I draw back, Your soul has no pleasure in me. Hebrews 10:38 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8 2 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. 3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. James 1:2,3 (Amp) 7. Therefore I submit to God. I resist the devil and he will flee from me. 8. I will draw near to God and He will draw near to me. James 4:7,8 14. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:14-16 Jesus, Who Himself bore my sins in His own body on the tree, that I, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by Whose stripes I was healed. I Peter 2: I, who would love life and see good days, refrain my tongue from evil, and my lips from speaking deceit. 11. I turn away from evil and do good; I seek peace and pursue it. 12. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to my prayers; I Peter 3:10-12 I resist [the devil], steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by my brotherhood in the world. I Peter 5:9 2. Grace and peace be multiplied to me in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3. as His divine power has given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called me by glory and virtue, II Peter 1:2,3 The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations. II Peter 2:9 13

14 For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. I John 3:8 Whatever I ask I receive from Him, because I keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. I John 3:22 He Who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. I John 4:4 For I, who am born of God overcome the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world my faith. I John 5:4 14. Now this is the confidence that I have in Him, that if I ask anything according to His will, He hears me. 15. And if we know that He hears me, whatever I ask, I know that I have the petitions that I have asked of Him. I John 5:14,15 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. III John 1:2 I build myself up on my most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, Jude 20 I overcame [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony... Revelation 12:11 World English Version of the Bible In the introduction God s Word, The Power to Heal, I made this comment; 'If you are God's child, the promise of healing belongs to you'. Some will say, "We're all children of God." But what does the Bible say? Here are just a few of many scriptures that indicate that we, not God, are the ones who decide if we will become His child. The Bible states: But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name John 1:12 He who has the Son has [a]life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1John 5:12 Now, let's hear what Jesus said about Himself (brace yourself, He's very blunt) He said; 14

15 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but through Me". John 14:6 Consider this example; you don't become a millionaire until you receive a million dollars. Now consider this fact, you don't become God's child until you receive Jesus the Christ, the Messiah. If you're not God's son or daughter, or maybe you're not sure, you can settle that now by praying this simple, but life-changing prayer. A Prayer for You Dear God, I turn from my way of doing things to Your way. I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that You raised Him from the dead. I receive Jesus into my heart as my Lord and Savior. I also welcome Your Holy Spirit into my life to give me the power to live for You. As I put my faith in Jesus, I am your child and You are my heavenly Father. Thank you for saving me. And thank You for healing me. In Jesus Name I pray.
