1 GOD OR MAN? THE MESSIAH DILEMMA (WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?) Published by Sowing the Word of God January 6, 2017 Dilemma: (noun) -A situation in which you have to make a difficult choice Merriam-Webster s Dictionary Was Yehoshua Messiah God made flesh, or just a man? Some believe that, although He is the Messiah, He was just a man and not God. Some are even coming to believe that not only was He just a man, but He is not the Messiah at all, and they are denying Him altogether. With this study, it will be apparent why this is called the Messiah Dilemma, because a choice must be made. Who will you say that He is? When we lack spiritual understanding of God s Word, and the diligence and dedication to search out and study the scriptures ourselves, we will not be firmly rooted in Him and in His Word. When we are not firmly rooted, we are then easily swayed by every strange new doctrine that comes our way. Sadly, in this day and age, patience is not considered a virtue. We want answers right now, and minds are made up immediately. Yet, is it not written over, and over again, that we should wait upon the Lord? Is it not written that we should not rely on our own understanding, but trust in Yehovah? What happened to the patience of the saints? The problem is, in our quest for knowledge and truth, we ve become lazy. We don t want to labor and work, we don t want to wait for His answers; we just want a man to tell us what God said. Isn t this what Israel said to Moses after hearing directly from God on Mount Sinai? 1

2 You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die. Exodus 20:19 And so we do unto this day. There is truly nothing new under the sun. With this study, we will use Scripture to show that the Father and the Son are One (Echad). While this concept is difficult to understand, the Bible is quite clear that they are one in the same. If the Messiah is not of a divine nature, did not exist prior to his conception, is only a prophet, and is just a man slain for our sins, we must consider the following. 1. Lord or Son: Who is this verse referring to? Psalm 110:1 A Psalm of David. A statement of YHVH to my Lord. Sit at my Right hand, until I place your enemies as your footstool. This is clearly written by David, speaking as Yehovah to the Messiah. Matthew 22 is just one of many places where we see that the Messiah sits at the right hand of Yehovah. Matthew 22: 41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question: 42 What do you think about the Christ, whose son is He? They said to Him, The son of David. 43 He said to them, Then how does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying, 44 The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, Until I put Your enemies beneath Your feet? 45 If David then calls Him Lord, how is He his son? 46 No one was able to answer Him a word, nor did anyone dare from that day on to ask Him another question. The reason they could not answer this question is because if He had an existence in the time of David, how could He be descended from him? The only possibility is by the admission that the Messiah was divine as well as human, that He existed at the time of David, and was his Lord. 2. The Messiah s Temptation: Take a look at the temptation of the Messiah in Matthew Chapter 4. In the second attack Satan takes him on top of the temple, questions and tests the Messiah by saying If you are the son of God throw yourself down. Satan quotes Psalm 91 indicating that the angels will protect the Messiah. Satan is looking for validation and proof that this is the Messiah and he is attempting to shake his faith. Note that Satan uses God s own Word as a mode of deception. He is not misquoting it, but misrepresenting its meaning; just as men do today. They deceive many by leading them to rely on a fleshly or carnal understanding of God s Word. 2

3 The Messiah uses the book of Deuteronomy to fight off Satan s attack. Deuteronomy 6: 16 You shall not tempt the Lord your God as you tempted Him in Massah. 17 You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you. 18 And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land of which the Lord swore to your fathers, 19 to cast out all your enemies from before you, as the Lord has spoken. The Messiah uses this verse again showing that he will keep the commands of God, and his enemies will be cast away from him. What is interesting here, is that Deuteronomy 6:16 is referring to Exodus 17, a specific event in Massah. During the Exodus from Egypt the people had no water and they began to speak against Moses. The people questioned why God would lead them out of Egypt. God told Moses to strike the Rock and water would come out for the people to drink. The last verse in this part of the journey states: Exodus 17: 7 So he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord (YHVH) among us or not? The insulting question or temptation asked by Satan to the Messiah, and from the House of Israel to Moses is this: were they in the presence of God or not? The Messiah s reply is brilliant when He quotes Deuteronomy 6:16, which points to Exodus 17. This is how Messiah consistently answers questions like this, He does not directly state that He is God, but rather speaks in parable or in Scripture which indicates that He is. He does this because it is not given to everyone to know. Without coming out and acknowledging Satan s insulting question he is saying I am that rock that springs forth the water of life and you should not tempt the Lord (Yehovah) your God. The third attack from Satan is a temptation to give Him all of the kingdoms of the world if the Messiah would worship him. The Messiah replies with You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve. This is a quote from Deuteronomy 6:13 and 10:20 Deuteronomy 6:13 You shall fear Yehovah your God, and you shall serve Him, and you shall swear by his name. 10:20 You shall fear Yehovah your God, you shall serve Him, and you shall cleave to Him, and you shall swear by His name. He shall be your praise, and He your God, who has done for you these great and fearful things, which your eyes have seen. 3

4 Now, let s look at this temptation in Matthew. Matthew 4 10 Then Jesus said to him, Away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve. 11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. Look at these words defined below: Serve - Greek Strongs 3000 To minister that is render religious homage, serve, do the service, worship. Serve Hebrew Strongs Serve, till, husbandman, keep, servant, service work, worshipper. Ministered Greek Strongs 1247 To be an attendant, wait upon, minister, Serve Although the word Serve and Ministered in the Greek are different words the meaning is clear. The Messiah tells Satan to leave, and says You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall serve. It is no coincidence that we re told that the Angels show up and minister/serve the Messiah. This is the Messiah clearly showing who should be served. In the scriptures below we see the Son of Man (The Messiah) is worshiped and served. Daniel 7: 13 I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him. 14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed. Matthew 2: 1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him. Matthew 2: 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 4

5 Matthew 14: 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt? 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, Truly You are the Son of God. Matthew 28: 9 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, Rejoice! So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. John 9: 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, Do you believe in the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him? 37 And Jesus said to him, You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you. 38 Then he said, Lord, I believe! And he worshiped Him. It stands to reason, if Yehovah alone should be worshiped and served, and we see these instances of the Messiah being worshiped and served, they must be one in the same otherwise this is idolatry. It is for reasons like these that many are denying the Messiah, because they cannot reconcile or understand scriptures like these. The Messiah never admonished them for their worship of Him. 3. The Rock: All throughout scripture Yehovah (YHVH) and the Messiah are both referred to as the Rock ( Tsur in Hebrew) or the Stone ( Even in Hebrew). Deuteronomy 32: 3 For I proclaim the name of the Lord (YHVH): Ascribe greatness to our God. 4 He is the Rock (Tsur), His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He. Psalm 18:31 For who is God, except the Lord (YHVH)? And who is a rock (Tsur), except our God? Psalm 18:46 The Lord (YHVH) lives! Blessed be my Rock (Tsur)! Let the God of my salvation be exalted. Psalm 62: 6 He only is my rock (Tsur) and my salvation (Yeshuah); He is my defense; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation (Yeshuah) and my glory; The rock (Tsur) of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. 1Corinthians 10: 5

6 3 all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock (Tsur see Exodus 17:5-6) was Christ. 1Peter 2: 7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, The stone (Even) which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone, 8 and A stone (Even) of stumbling And a rock (Tsur) of offense. (See Psalm 118:22-23, Isaiah 8:14, 26:16) Acts 4: 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yehoshua Messiah of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the stone (Even) which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Ephesians 2: 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, Matthew 7: 24 Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: Daniel 2: 34 You watched while a stone (Even) was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone (Even) that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. 45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone (Even) was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure. Understand the imagery here of the Stone that was cut out from the Mountain without hands. The mountain represents the Kingdom of God and the fullness of the Godhead. The Messiah is the Stone that was cut out of it. He is still made up of the mountain of which He was cut, just in a different form, but the mountain that He was cut from is still in Him. 6

7 John 14:11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. Then, notice in Daniel 2:44, when all is fulfilled the stone that was cut out of the mountain (Messiah) returns to His original form from where He came, and again becomes a great mountain. This is the Oneness of the Godhead. And the stone (Even) that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. The Hebrew word for stone is pronounced ehven. It is made up of the letters אבן this: Aleph, Beyt, Nun and looks like The Hebrew word for Father is pronounced Av and is made up of the letters Aleph and Beyt.אב These are also the first two letters of the word stone or ehven. The Hebrew word for Son is pronounced Ben and is made up of the letters Ben and Nun.בן These are the last two letters of the word stone or ehven. The Hebrew word for Stone is literally made up of the Hebrew words for Father and Son. Why is this stone called a stone of stumbling? It is because people stumble over understanding that the Father and the Son are not separate, but One in the same, as it is written. 7

God is with us: Matthew 1: 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us. Isaiah 7: 13 Then he said, Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (God with us) Isaiah 9: For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. How can the Son that we have been given also be called Mighty God and Everlasting Father? If there is only One Everlasting Father, then how can He also be called Son unless they are One in the same? 5. They are both the First and the Last: Yehoshua: Revelation 1: 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. YHVH: Isaiah 44:6 Thus says the Lord (YHVH), the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the Lord (YHVH) of hosts: I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. 6. They are both the king of Israel: Isaiah 44:6 Thus says YHVH, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, YHVH of hosts: I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. Luke 1 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will 8

9 reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end. Revelation 11: 15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever! Who is the He YHVH or the Messiah? If the Kingdom belongs to both, then could the HE be both of them? Daniel 7: 13 I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! His body was like beryl, HIS FACE LIKE THE APPEARANCE OF LIGHTNING, HIS EYES LIKE TORCHES OF FIRE, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude. And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great terror fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and I retained no strength. Yet I heard the sound of his words; and while I heard the sound of his words I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground. Suddenly, A HAND TOUCHED ME, WHICH MADE ME TREMBLE on my knees and on the palms of my hands. And he said to me, O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and STAND UPRIGHT, for I have now been sent to you. WHILE HE WAS SPEAKING THIS WORD TO ME, I STOOD TREMBLING. THEN HE SAID TO ME, DO NOT FEAR, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words." Revelation 1:8, I am the Aleph and the Tav, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, WHO IS AND WHO WAS AND WHO IS TO COME, the Almighty. 9

10 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like THE SON OF MAN, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and HIS EYES LIKE A FLAME OF FIRE; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, AND HIS COUNTENANCE WAS LIKE THE SUN SHINING in its strength. And WHEN I SAW HIM, I FELL AT HIS FEET AS DEAD. BUT HE LAID HIS RIGHT HAND ON ME, SAYING TO ME, DO NOT BE AFRAID; I am the First and the Last. Matthew 17:1-8 Now after six days Yehoshua took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. HIS FACE SHONE LIKE THE SUN, AND HIS CLOTHES BECAME AS WHITE AS THE LIGHT. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Yehoshua, Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him! AND WHEN THE DISCIPLES HEARD IT, THEY FELL ON THEIR FACES AND WERE GREATLY AFRAID. BUT YEHOSHUA CAME AND TOUCHED THEM AND SAID, ARISE, AND DO NOT BE AFRAID. WHEN THEY HAD LIFTED UP THEIR EYES, THEY SAW NO ONE BUT YEHOSHUA ONLY. Revelation 1: 4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. 8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 4:8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come! 10

The Redeemer Isaiah 44:6 Thus says the YHVH, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the YHVH of hosts: I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. Psalm 31:5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O YHVH God of truth. Psalm 34:22 YHVH redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. Psalm 49:15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, For He shall receive me. Psalm 130:7 O Israel, hope in YHVH; For with YHVH there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption. 8 And He shall redeem Israel From all his iniquities. Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker is your husband, YHVH of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. Titus 2: 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Galatians 3: 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree ), 1Peter1: 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but 11

12 with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 9. Both are the pierced one Zechariah 12:10 (YHVH Speaking) And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. John 19: 37 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, Not one of His bones shall be broken. 37 And again another Scripture says, They shall look on Him whom they pierced. John 20: 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. So he said to them, Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not 12

13 believe. 26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace to you! 27 Then He said to Thomas, Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! 29 Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. (NOTE: Blessed are those who have believed what? That He is Lord AND GOD!) 10. The Creator: Isaiah 44: 24 Thus says YHVH, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: I am YHVH, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself; John1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1: 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (NOTE: The Word was God, and then the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, therefore, God became flesh and dwelt among us.) Genesis 1: 1 In the beginning Elohim (Plural) created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:26 Then Elohim (plural) said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; Colossians 1: 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. 14 were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 11. If we are the bride, then who is the groom?: Isaiah 54: 4 Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. 5 For your Maker is your husband, YHVH of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. 6 For YHVH has called you Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Like a youthful wife when you were refused, Says your God. Revelation 19: 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. (Messiah is the Lamb and Groom) Revelation 22: 16 I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. (him who thirsts is a reference to the Messiah calling those who thirst in John 7:37) Ephesians 5: 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 12. The Father and The Son John 5: 16 For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them, My Father has been working until now, and I have been working. 18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the 14

15 Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. John 8: 21 Then Jesus said to them again, I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come. 22 So the Jews said, Will He kill Himself, because He says, Where I go you cannot come? 23 And He said to them, You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am, you will die in your sins. 25 Then they said to Him, Who are You? And Jesus said to them, Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him. 27 They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father. 28 Then Jesus said to them, When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. 29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him. 30 As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. John 8: 57 Then the Jews said to Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM. Exodus 3: 13 Then Moses said to God, Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? what shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And He said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you. John 20: 27 Then He said to Thomas, Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! 29 Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. Acts 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was 15

Phillippians 2: 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 1 Timothy 3: 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. 13. No one is Good but One, that is God Mark 10: 17 Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18 So Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. (Note: Messiah never said He wasn t good, but asked the man WHY He called Him good.) John 10: 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father s hand. 30 I and My Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me? 33 The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God. What was the first thing that Elohim called good in the beginning? Genesis 1: 3 Then God said, Let there be light ; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through 16

17 Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. Yehoshua Messiah is the Light which is called Good, and He is the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God. No one is good but One, that is God. Men say that He is man and not God John 10:33 The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God. but who do YOU say that He is? John 20: 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! 29 Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed.
