1 DO NOT BE AFRAID, LIFT UP YOUR EYES AND SEE THE SALVATION OF YEHOVAH Published by Sowing the Word of God - December 26, 2018 John 6:51-68 "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world. 52 The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, How can this Man give us His flesh to eat? 53 Then Yeshua said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever. 59 These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum. 60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, This is a hard saying; who can understand it? 61 When Yeshua knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, Does this offend you? 62 What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not 1

2 believe. For Yeshua knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65 And He said, Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father. 66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Yehoshua said to the twelve, Do you also want to go away? 68 But Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." There seems to be a growing trend among the Torah pursuant community. Those who once followed the Messiah who learned of the wonders of the Torah of Yehovah through Him, are now denying Him and walking with Him no more. Why? It is the difference between hearing the Spirit of God's Word or hearing the unprofitable words of men and the flesh. If we truly knew the Messiah, if we truly understood who He is, we would never want to leave Him. Genesis 49:18 I have waited for your salvation, O Yehovah! The Hebrew word for "Salvation" is H3444 "yeshua." It means salvation, deliverance, victory, health, and help. Exodus 14:13a And Moses said to the people, Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation (yeshua) of Yehovah..." Yeshua is also the shortened form of our Messiah's Hebrew name Yehoshua. H3091 Yehoshua means Yah saves, and H3442 "Yeshua," meaning "He will save." In the Scriptures, men of God have each described someone that they saw in a vision. Three separate visions at three very different times in history. Not only did He appear to each of them looking very similarly, we re also told that He touched all of them and He said the same thing to them all, He said, "do not be afraid." Daniel 10:4-12 Now on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, that is, the Tigris, 5 I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz! 6 His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude. 7 And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great terror fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. 8 Therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and I retained no strength. 9 Yet I heard the sound of his words; and while I heard the sound of his words I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground. 10 Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. 11 And he said to me, O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now 2

3 been sent to you. While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. 12 Then he said to me, do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. Revelation 1:12-17 Then I [John] turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feed as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last." Matthew 17:1-7 Now after six days Yeshua took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Yeshua, Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. 5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him! 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Yeshua came and touched them and said, Arise, and do not be afraid. 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Yeshua only. Who did all of these men see? They all lifted up their eyes, and saw the Salvation of Yehovah. Exodus 14:13a And Moses said to the people, Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation (yeshua) of Yehovah..." To you who reject that Yeshua is our Salvation, To you who reject that Yeshua is the Messiah, To you who reject that Yeshua is God, you reject Him because you, like the disciples who once followed Yeshua, have heard a hard word that you cannot understand. You ve been shown Scriptures interpreted by men that say there is no God or Savior besides Yehovah. Yet, these are the very same words that bear witness of Him. To you who reject Yeshua, understand that you are repeating the patterns of your fathers before you. Understand who it is that you are truly rejecting. The flesh profits nothing. Flesh logic and reason of men will fail. It is the Spirit who gives understanding and life. 3

4 Isaiah 45:21-23 "Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, Yehovah? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me. 22 Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. 23 I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow Every tongue shall take an oath." Philippians 2:5-11 Let this mind be in you which was also in Messiah Yeshua, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Yeshua Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. I make this plea to those whose hearts have gone astray from Yeshua, to you who have allowed men to plant the seed of doubt in your heart instead of relying on the Spirit of the Holy One of Israel alone to teach you. If you had known Him, if you had truly known Him, you would never EVER have left Him. Stop trying to rationalize what is spiritual, it is too wonderful for us. If you do not look to Yeshua and see the salvation of Yehovah, it is only because you do not recognize who He is. John 10:24-30 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Messiah, tell us plainly. 25 Yeshua answered them, I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father s name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater 4

5 than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father s hand. 30 I and My Father are one. Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: Yehovah our God, Yehovah is one! John 14:7-9a If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. 8 Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us. 9 Yeshua said to him, Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip?" Isaiah 49:14-16a But Zion said, Yehovah has forsaken me, And Yehovah has forgotten me. 15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. 16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands..." Psalm 22:16 For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and feet Luke 24:36-39a Now as they said these things, Yeshua Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, Peace to you. 37 But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. 38 And He said to them, Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. John 19:36-37 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, Not one of His bones shall be broken. 37 And again another Scripture says, they shall look on Him whom they pierced. What Scripture was fulfilled? Who did we pierce? Zechariah 12:1, 10 1 The burden of the word of Yehovah against Israel. Thus says Yehovah, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 10 And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for His only Son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn." 5

6 John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. because he has not believed in the salvation of Yehovah. Matthew 1:21 "She will give birth to a son; and you shall call His name Yeshua, for He will save His people from their sins. 22 Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which means GOD WITH US. Do not look to men for your salvation. Look up, and see Yeshua. Mark 5:36b Do not be afraid; only believe. 6
