Shabbos, April 14 ~ NHBZ welcomes back Rabbi Chaim Eisen, who will be our Scholar-in Residence for a day of learning and our Family Shalosh Seudos Program. Rabbi Eisen is the founder and Dean of Yeshivath Sharashim, Jerusalem. On Shabbos morning Rabbi Eisen will deliver a Drasha on "Yom HaAtzma ut: From Mark Twain s Visit to and Description of Jerusalem in 1867 to a Survey of Prophecies More Current than Today s Newspapers. Prior to Mincha at 6:05 P.M. (Mincha at 7:05 P.M) Rabbi Eisen will present a shiur on "Yom Yerushalayim: Jerusalem is Forever: Reflections upon Jerusalem s Encapsulating the Odyssey of the People of Israel and of the Whole World. 3 Tot Shabbat & Junior Congregation News by Alana Minoff Happy Pesach! This week, our families can look forward to both Junior Congregation and Tot Shabbat! Please stay tuned for details regarding a fun and exciting Yom Yerushalyim program on the afternoon of Sunday, May 13th! We will be partnering with PJ Library and Torah Mitzion St. Louis for an exciting afternoon at NHBZ!! Adult Learning at NHBZ Wednesday at 12:15 pm ~ Lunch & Learn with Rabbi Smason Study Pirkei Avos / Ethics of the Fathers. Every Shabbos ~ Starting Points: Wisdom for Daily Living with Rabbi Ze'ev Smason ~ A program tailor-made for those, regardless of prior educational or observance level, interested in growing Jewishly. Each freestanding session (at 10:15 am every Shabbos, unless otherwise noted) explores a distinct Jewish concept in practical, understandable terms. April 28: How to Love Your Difficult Neighbor...or Relative In advance of the first Yizkor service of the calendar year Nusach Hari B'nai Zion is offering a unique opportunity to memorialize family members and friends. This year, through July 16, our normally priced memorial plaques of $ each will be available for $600 for two memorial plaques. Ordering your plaques by this deadline should enable us to have your plaques mounted on our Memorial Boards (in the Pepose-Feigenbaum Multipurpose Room) no later than Yom Kippur of this year. Please call the office or Howard Loiterstein ( ) to order your plaques, or for information concerning many other dedication opportunities such as Torah Mantles, Sanctuary Menorahs, and Mezuzah for the Chapel.
