2 JESUS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

3 -Son of Man (the name associated with the prophecy of Daniel 7:13) (Matt 9:6) -The Chief Corner Stone (Matt 21:42; Mark 12:10; Luke 20:17 [Ps 118:22]) -True Bread out of Heaven (John 6:32) -I Am Jesus said to them, "Verily, verily, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am." (John 8:58) -The Door of the Sheep (John 10:7) -The Good Shepherd (John 10:11) -The Light of the World (John 8:12) -The Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25) -The Way, and The Truth, and The Life (John 14:6) -I am the True Vine (John 15:1) -The First and The Last (Rev 1:17) -Living One (Rev 1:18) -The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand / The One who walks among the seven golden lampstands (Rev 2:1) -The One who has the sharp two-edged sword (Rev 2:12) -The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like burnished bronze (Rev 2:18) -He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars(rev 3:1) -He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens (Rev 3:7) -The root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star (Rev 22:16) -The Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end (Rev 22:12-13)

4 1. LIGHT REVEALS & JESUS REVEALS THE LIGHT OF JESUS GIVES US OUR DIRECTION. -JESUS REVEALS OUR PURPOSE John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

5 1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

6 Romans 8: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

7 Philippians 2:5-7 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 -The LIGHT ALSO REVEALS OUR SINFULNESS John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

9 -The LIGHT ALSO REVEALS OUR SINFULNESS 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Light also measures. /JESUS MEASURES US Matthew 7: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

11 1 John 1:5-7 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

12 3. LIGHT ENERGIZES/JESUS ENERGIZES. John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

13 Luke 12:15 15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

14 Matthew 5: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
