1 Curriculum Vitae Brief Profile: is currently an associate professor in Dept of. He joined Jamia Millia Islamia in February 2001 as an assistant professor. His area of specialization is literary criticism and modern fiction. He has written almost 50 research articles in different journals of reputation in India and abroad. He has written 8 books related with criticism and creative writing., before joining JMI in 2001 has been teaching philosophy at UG and PG level in Bareilly College, Bareilly. He has a master degree in philosophy too. literary articles deals with literary criticism and their philosophical implications. The relation between philosophy and literature is the main focus of his research articles and presentations. is also a renowned Urdu fiction writer. Three collections of short stories and one of them is published from Penguin India publication limited in His novels titled as Maut ki Kitab and Nematkhana are highly acclaimed by well known literary critics of subcontinent. The short story named Aakhri Dawat (the last supper) has been included in comparative literature course of South Asian languages department of Princton University, USA. His short story titled as Koobar is included in the curriculum of BHU, Banaras in M.A Urdu course. Jadavpur University also included one of his story in its curriculum of M.A in comparative literature. short stories and his novel Maut Ki Kitab are translated into English, Hindi and other regional languages. He has been awarded by Uttar Pradesh Urdu Academy for his novel Maut Ki kitab. He is also recipient of Katha Award. frequently visits abroad to participate in International Conferences. He has participated in world writer s conference held at Virginia University,USA in 2008 and Karachi Literature festival organized by Oxford and British Council in 2012.M.Phil MANU, Hyderabad has awarded M.Phil degrees in Urdu on his novel Maut ki Kitab and aakhri dawat(short stories collection) and Central University, Hyderabad has awarded M.Phil in Urdu on his collection of short stories titled as Burey Mausam mein.
