Phone no Dr. Asma Kazmi has been teaching in the Department of Fine Arts, AMU, Aligarh since A throughout first class Asma has earned Gold Medal in her MFA from AMU, Aligarh in She got her Ph.D. degree from the same university on Islamic Art-forms in Iranian Painting in Her fields of specialization are: Islamic Art, Portraiture, Landscape and Miniature Painting. Her Master s level project on Religious Elements in Italian Art: Michelangelo s Reflection has been published (after revision) from USA in Her Ph.D. thesis has been accepted by Iran Culture House, New Delhi, for publication. She has published eight research articles. She has participated in Eight National/International conferences/seminars. She contributed papers to them. She has participated in Seven art-competitions and Eleven art-exhibitions including Three solo exhibitions. Moreover, she eagerly wishes to highlight the true spirit of art that inculcates a sense of unity and religious harmony which is the need of the day. She earnestly and sincerely wants to contribute in the field of Fine Arts which is beneficial for modern generation both in aesthetic and commercial terms. Finally, she also wishes to reintroduce to art-lovers the true spirit of Islamic art which is a symbol of great Islamic aesthetics and civilization and unfortunately, has long been rejected and overlooked by the Muslim masses even in the 21 st century. Aligarh and sponsored by the State Lalit Kala Academi, Lucknow, on August, : Prepared a portrait of Hon ble Dr. Navin Chandra Ramgoolam, the Prime Minister of Mauritius and presented the same to him on the 17 th Oct in the Kennedy Hall Auditorium on the occasion of a special convocation arranged by AMU Aligarh to honour him Degree of D. Lit. (honoris Causa). 2003: Participated in an Exhibition of Painting organized by the Department of Fine Arts, A.M.U. 5 2014 Prepared a portrait of Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, a Turkish Sufi religious reformer (and gifted the same through the Vice-chancellor, AMU, Aligarh) to the Director of the Istanbul Foundation on the occasion of the Inauguration of the International Seminar on Risale-i Nur: Knowledge, Faith, Morality and Future of Humanity. The seminar was organized jointly by the Department of Islamic Studies, AMU, Aligarh and the Istanbul Foundation Turkey on February, Prepared a portrait of Mr. Moinuddin Ahmad the founder of Art Gallery, AMU, Aligarh which was inaugurated by the Vice- Chancellor, AMU, Aligarh (Retd.Gen.) Zamaniruddin Shah on 15 March, Prepared a portrait of Sayyed ul-ulama, Ali Naqi Naqvi, a great scholar of Islam in Indian sub-continent, and presented the same to the Chief Guest from Iraq on the occasion of the Inauguration of the Grand International Seminar on his Life and Works which was organizes by Yadgar-i-Husaini, Lucknow on 6-8 April, Prepared a portrait of Ibn Sina, a great Iranian Islamic philosopher- Scientist of 10 th & 11 th centuries, and presented the same in the Kennedy Auditorium of AMU, Aligarh to the Chief Guest, Her Highness Mrs. Sa adia Rashid, the Chancellor of the Hamdard University, Karachi, Pakistan on the occasion of the Inauguration of the International Seminar on Life and Contributions of Ibn Sina, organized by Ibn Sina Academy of Medieval Medicine and Sciences, Tijara House, Dodhpur, Aligarh, on October, Exhibited various forms of Painting (Landscape, Portraiture, Miniature, Stilllife, Illustration Works, etc.) as a one of the participant artists in exhibition Creative Venture in the Moinuddin Art Gallery, AMU, Aligarh. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs./ Sahiha Simi Shah, wife of (Retd. Gen.)
