2 ح ص يح) The fi l (verb) is also divided into Saheeh. )م عتحل ) Mu tal ) and *Note: To determine if a verb is Saheeh ح ص يح) ) or Mu tal ) )م عتحل, we look to its root/original letters. الف عل الص ح ح ي It is a ف عل that is free from ا - ي -و) ح ر وف الع ل ) and all of its original letters are ح ص يح. These are of three types: saalim, mahmooz, mudhaa`af. حس امل (1 Linguistically it means: sound/well, free/safe/secure from something. That which the saalim is free of is one of three things: ا - ي - و are:, which ح ر وف الع ل 1- Hurooful illah الهحم حزة 2- The hamzah تحضع يفMultiplicity -3.(غحري حسال م) is called ghayru saalim (سامل) *Note: A verb that is not saalim حمهم وز (2 A verb that has a hamzah as one of its original letters is called: When the hamzah falls in the beginning like: When the hamzah falls in the middle like: حو أح حد - we say it is - we say it is أح بح حد like: When the hamzah falls in the end حمهم وز حمهم وز ال حفاءis - we say it أ حخ حذ حمهم وز ال حعي حمهم وز ال ل م م حضع ف (3 If the aynul-kalimah and laamul-kalimah are identical (the same letter/doubled), it is called م حضا حعف or م حضع ف which means: That which is doubled. It is given this name due to the ayn and laam being identical. 2

3 الف عل ال ع لتح 1 It is a ف عل which one or two of its original letters are from ا - ي - و) ح ر وف الع ل ). The verb which contains one of ح ر وف الع ل is of three (3) types and they are mithaal, ajwaaf, naaqis. The verb which contains two of ح ر وف الع ل is of two (2) types: lafeefun mafrooq, lafeefun maqroon. When the verb contains one of ح ر وف الع ل it may come in one of three ways: verb. comes in the beginning of the حح ر ف الع لWhen - م ثحال 1) This is when faa-ul kalimah is one of hurooful illah (here it is only the و or the.( ي It is also called: م عتحل الفحاء verb. comes in the middle of the حح ر ف الع لWhen - أحج حوف 2) م عتحل ال حعي called: This is when aynul kalimah is one of hurooful illah. It is also comes in the end of the verb حح ر ف الع لWhen - ح نق ص 3) م عتحل ال ل م called: This is when laamul kalimah is one of hurooful illah. Itis also When the verb contains two of ح ر وف الع ل, it is called لحف يف which means, wrapped around. The لحف يف comes in two ways: ( a separated wrapping) It is when the faa ul kalimah and laamul kalimah لحف يف حمفر وق 1) are one of hurooful illah. (A connected/joined wrapping) - It is when the aynul kalimah and laamul لف بف حمقر ون 2) kalimah are one of hurooful illah. IN SUMMARY: The saheeh verb is either saalim, mahmooz, or mudhaa`af and the mu tal verb is either mithaal, ajwaf, naaqis, lafeefun mafrooq, or lafeefun maqroon. means: Changing from the normal state. When something changes from its normal state, this change is الع ل 1 called ع ل ( illah). The relevance of giving those letters this name is that they change a lot. 3

4 الفعل الصحيح حس امل Examples from the Qur aan چ ٿ ٿ ٿ ٿ چ You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). [1:5] چ ٱ ٻ ٻ ٻ ٻ پ پ پ پ ڀ ڀ ڀ ڀ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٺ چ Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindled a fire; then, when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness. (So) they could not see. [2:17] چ ي ە ي ە ي و ي و ي ۇ ي ۇ ي ۆ ي ۆ ي ۈ ي ۈ ي ې ي ې ي ې ي ى ي ىي ى ی ی ی ی چ He it is Who created for you all that is on earth. Then He Istawa (rose over) towards the heaven and made them seven heavens and He is the All-Knower of everything.[2:29] چ ٿ ٿ ٿ ٹ ٹ ٹٹ ڤ ڤ ڤ ڤ ڦڦ ڦ ڦ ڄ چ Like the behaviour of the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and those before them; they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), so Allah seized (destroyed) them for their sins. And Allah is Severe in punishment. [3:11] 4

5 چ ھ ھ ھ ھ ےے ے ے ڭ ڭ ڭ چ And indeed We have sent down to you manifest Ayat (these Verses of the Qur'an which inform in detail about the news of the Jews and their secret intentions, etc.), and none disbelieve in them but Fasiqun (those who rebel against Allah's Command).[2:99] چ ٹ ٹ ٹ ڤ ڤ ڤ ڤ ڦ ڦڦ ڦ ڄ ڄ ڄ ڄڃ ڃ ڃ ڃ چ چ چ چ Beautified is the life of this world for those who disbelieve, and they mock at those who believe. But those who obey Allah's Orders and keep away from what He has forbidden, will be above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives (of His Bounty, Blessings, Favours, Honours, etc. on the Day of Resurrection) to whom He wills without limit.[2:212] چ ۇٴ ۋ ۋ ۅ ۅ ۉ ۉ ې ې ې ې ى ىي ا ي ا ي ە ي ە چ It is prescribed for you, when death approaches any of you, if he leaves wealth, that he make a bequest to parents and next of kin, according to reasonable manners. (This is) a duty upon Al-Muttaqun [2:180] چ ھ ھے ے ے ے ڭ ڭ ڭ ڭ ۇ ۇ ۆ ۆ ۈ چ Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allah during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer. [3:113] چ ٱ ٻ ٻ ٻ پ ٻ پ پ پڀ ڀ ڀ ڀ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٿ چ So, when they took him away, they all agreed to throw him down to the bottom of the well, and We inspired in him:"indeed, you shall (one day) inform them of this their affair, when they know (you) not." [12:15] 5

6 چ ک گ گ گ گ ڳ ڳ ڳڳ ڱ ڱ ڱ ڱ چ حمهم وز But when He gave them a Salih (good in every aspect) child, they ascribed partners to Him (Allah) in that which He has given to them. High be Allah, Exalted above all that they ascribe as partners to Him. [7:190] چ ہ ہ ہ ہ ھ ھ ھ ھ ے ے ے ے ڭ ڭ ڭ ڭ ۇۇ ۆ ۆ ۈ چ Those who break Allah's Covenant after ratifying it, and sever what Allah has ordered to be joined (as regards Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism, and to practice its legal laws on the earth and also as regards keeping good relations with kith and kin ), and do mischief on earth, it is they who are the losers.[2:27] چ ٱ ٻ ٻ ٻ ٻ پ پ پ پ ڀ ڀ ڀ ڀ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٿٿ ٿ ٿ ٹ چ (And remember) when Allah took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) to make it (the news of the coming of Prophet Muhammad and the religious knowledge) known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it, but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And indeed worst is that which they bought. [3:187] چ ڭ ڭ ۇ ۇ چ A questioner asked concerning a torment about to befall [70:1] چ ڱ ں ں ڻ ڻ ڻ ڻ ە چ So when you want to recite the Qur'an, seek refuge with Allah from Shaitan (Satan), the outcast (the cursed one) [16:98] 6

7 حض عف م چ ي ى ی ی ی ی ي ج ي ح ي م ي ى ي ي بجبح بخ بم بى بي تج تح تخ تم تى تي ثج ثم ثىثي جح جم حج حم خج خح چ And if he has divorced her (the third time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she has married another husband. Then, if the other husband divorces her, it is no sin on both of them that they reunite, provided they feel that they can keep the limits ordained by Allah. These are the limits of Allah, which He makes plain for the people who have knowledge. [2:230] چ ں ڻ ڻ ڻ ڻ ە ە ہہ ہ ہ ھ ھ ھھ ے ے ے ے ڭ ڭ ڭڭ ۇ ۇ ۆ چ Say (O Muhammad): "I am on clear proof from my Lord (Islamic Monotheism), but you deny (the truth that has come to me from Allah). I have not gotten what you are asking for impatiently (the torment). The decision is only for Allah, He declares the truth, and He is the Best of judges." [6:57] چ ڍ ڍ ڌ ڌ ڎ ڎ ڈ ڈژ ژ ڑ ڑ ک ک ک کگ گ گ گڳ ڳ ڳ ڳ ڱ ڱ ڱ چ And it is He Who spread out the earth, and placed therein firm mountains and rivers and of every kind of fruits He made Zawjain Ithnain (two in pairs - may mean two kinds or it may mean: of two sorts, e.g. black and white, sweet and sour, small and big, etc.) He brings the night as a cover over the day. Verily, in these things, there areayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.) for people who reflect [13:3] 7

8 چ ي ا ي ا ي ە ي ە ي و ي و ي ۇ ي ۇ ي ۆي ۆ ي ۈ ي ۈ ي ې ي ې ي ې ي ى چ And unto those who are Jews, We have forbidden such things as We have mentioned to you (O Muhammad ) before [in Surat-Al-An'am, (The Cattle), see Verse 6:146]. And We wronged them not, but they used to wrong themselves. [16:118] چ ڤ ڤ ڤ ڦ چ That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), [107:2] چ ٱ ٻ ٻ ٻ ٻ پ پ پ پ ڀ ڀ ڀ ڀ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٿٿ ٿ ٿٹ ٹ ٹ ٹ ڤ ڤ ڤ ڤ ڦ چ الفعل العتل ث م لحا And the dwellers of Paradise will call out to the dwellers of the Fire (saying): "We have indeed found true what our Lord had promised us; have you also found true, what your Lord promised (warnings, etc.)?" They shall say: "Yes." Then a crier will proclaim between them: "The Curse of Allah is on the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.)," [7:44] چ چ چ چ چ ڇ ڇ ڇ ڇ ڍ ڍ ڌ ڌ ڎ ڎ ڈ ڈ ژ ژ ڑ چ O you who believe! Take not as friends the people who incurred the Wrath of Allah (i.e. the Jews). Surely, they have been in despair to receive any good in the Hereafter, just as the disbelievers have been in despair about those (buried) in graves (that they will not be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection).[60:13] 8

9 چ ڭ ڭ ڭ ڭ ۇ ۇ ۆ ۆ ۈۈ ۇٴ ۋ ۋ ۅ چ أح ج فحو "All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has given me in old age Isma'il (Ishmael) and Ishaque (Isaac). Verily! My Lord is indeed the All-Hearer of invocations.[14:39] چ ڻ ڻ ڻ ڻ ە ە ہ ہ ہ ہھ ھ ھ ھے ے ے ے ڭ ڭ ڭ ڭ چ And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: "Verily, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow." They said, "Do you make fun of us?" He said, "I take Allah's Refuge from being among Al-Jahilun (the ignorants or the foolish)." [2:67] چ ہ ہ ہ ھ ھ ھ ھ ے ے ے ے ڭ چ Not for you (O Muhammad but for Allah) is the decision; whether He turns in mercy to (pardons) them or punishes them; verily, they are the Zalimun (polytheists, disobedients, and wrong-doers, etc.). [3:128] چ ڄ ڄ ڄ ڃ ڃ ڃ ڃ چ چچ چ ڇ ڇ ڇ ڇ ڍ ڍڌ ڌ ڎ ڎ ڈ ڈ ژ ژ ڑڑ ک ک ک چ Muhammad is no more than a Messenger, and indeed (many) Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels (as disbelievers)? And he who turns back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah, and Allah will give reward to those who are grateful. [3:144] 9

10 چ ں ں ڻ ڻڻ ڻ ە ە ہ ہہ ہ ھ ھ ھ ھ ے ے ے ے ڭ ڭ ڭ ڭ ۇ ۇ چ ح ن قص Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing). [3:185] چ ڻ ڻ ڻ ڻ ە ە ہ ہ ہ ہ ھ ھ ھ ھ ے ے ے ے ڭ ڭ ڭ ڭ ۇ ۇ ۆ ۆۈ ۈ ۇٴ ۋ ۋۅ ۅ ۉ ۉ ې چ And when some hurt touches man, he cries to his Lord (Allah Alone), turning to Him in repentance, but when He bestows a favour upon him from Himself, he forgets that for which he cried for before, and he sets up rivals to Allah, in order to mislead others from His Path. Say: "Take pleasure in your disbelief for a while: surely, you are (one) of the dwellers of the Fire!" [39:8] چ تم تى تي ثج ثم ثى ثي چ "Who feared the Most Beneficent (Allah) in the Ghaib (unseen): (i.e. in this worldly life before seeing and meeting Him), and brought a heart turned in repentance (to Him - and absolutely free from each and every kind of polytheism) [50:33] چ ڇ ڍ ڍ ڌ ڌ ڎ ڎ ڈ ڈ ژژ ڑ ڑ ک ک چ For them there will be allotted a share for what they have earned. And Allah is Swift at reckoning.[2:205] 10

11 حم فر وق چ ھ ھے ے ے ے ڭ ڭ ڭ ڭ ۇ ۇ ۆ ۆ ۈ چ Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allah during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer. [3:113] لحف يف چ ٱ ٻ ٻ ٻ ٻ پ پپ پ ڀ ڀ ڀ ڀ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٺ ٿ ٿ چ This is (part) of Al-Hikmah (wisdom, good manners and high character, etc.) which your Lord has inspired to you (O Muhammad). And set not up with Allah any other ilah (god) lest you should be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected, (from Allah's Mercy) [17:39] چ ڤ ڤ ڦ ڦ ڦ ڦ ڄ ڄ ڄ ڄ ڃ ڃ ڃ ڃ چ چ چ چ ڇڇ ڇ ڇ ڍ ڍ ڌ ڌ چ And Allah has made for you out of that which He has created shades, and has made for you places of refuge in the mountains, and has made for you garments to protect you from the heat (and cold), and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus does He perfect His Grace unto you, that you may submit yourselves to His Will (in Islam). [16:81] چ گ گ گ گ ڳ ڳ ڳ ڳ ڱ ڱ ڱ چ "And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live." [19:31] 11

12 چ ڃ ڃ ڃ ڃ چ چ چ چ ڇ ڇ ڇ ڇ ڍ ڍ ڌ ڌ ڎ ڎ ڈڈ ژ ژ ڑ چ As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one thinks it to be water, until he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing, but he finds Allah with him, Who will pay him his due (Hell). And Allah is Swift in taking account. [24:39] چ گ گ گ گ ڳڳ ڳ ڳ ڱ ڱ ڱ چ So Allah saved him from the evils that they plotted (against him), while an evil torment encompassed Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people. [40:45] چ ۅ ۉ ۉ ې ې ې چ "But Allah has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of the Fire. [52:27] چ ڃ ڃ چ And collect (wealth) and hide it (from spending it in the Cause of Allah). [70:18] لف بف حم قر ون چ ک ک ک ک گ گ گ گ ڳ ڳ ڳ ڳ ڱ ڱ ڱ ڱ چ (Remember) when the young men fled for refuge (from their disbelieving folk) to the Cave, they said: "Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!" [18:10] 12

13 چ ٹ ٹ ڤ ڤ ڤ ڤڦ ڦ ڦ ڦ ڄ ڄڄ ڄ ڃڃ ڃ ڃ چ چ And (remember) the Day when We shall roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books, as We began the first creation, We shall repeat it, (it is) a promise binding upon Us. Truly, We shall do it. [21:104] چ ڄ ڄ ڄ ڄڃ ڃ ڃ ڃ چ چ چچ ڇ ڇ ڇ ڇ ڍ ڍ ڌڌ ڎ ڎ ڈ ڈ ژ ژ ڑڑ ک ک ک ک چ And say: "The truth is from your Lord." Then whosoever wills, let him believe, and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve. Verily, We have prepared for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.), a Fire whose walls will be surrounding them (disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah). And if they ask for help (relief, water, etc.) they will be granted water like boiling oil, that will scald their faces. Terrible the drink, and an evil Murtafaqa (dwelling, resting place, etc.)!
