The following is a wide survey illu rating the life and works of Dr. Abdulaziz Sachedina, professor of Islamic and Shi a udies at We ern universities, who is a member of Shi a community, as well. This essay is originally an English interview with him published on the online publications of Maydan on September 13, 2017, and is an account of Sachdina s life, hi ory, scienti c works, thoughts, and recommendations as a scholar who has udied many years in Islamic udies, especially in topics concerning Shiite and has left many traces in this direction. He spoke all the details in a sympathetic and analytical language and with a look at the pa, present and future of Islamic udies in the We, and nally gave recommendations to progressive generations in the elds of religion and Islam. (Received: ; Accepted: ) The Holy Qur an is a rm document and an unchallenged miracle of the Final Divine Mission. The beauty of the verbal Revelation may be displayed in the context of the Qur anic language, in which the external words represent the internal concepts of the verses and the rhetorical function of phrases is mo precisely analyzed in the form of grammatical rules. The udy of prepositions as mo partial units of the Arabic grammar, that is independent along with other words, founds a delicate network inside this inimitable word. The preposition of lam is a display of a particular meaning for its own, and the sub itution of prepositions is a rhetorical elegance that is not de ned only in the caravan of metaphor and allusion. Here, the letters play in their own place and, if they sub itute each other, they perform rhetorical task of the sentence, in order to speak of the beauties of prepositions with the help of letters and thus convey the exact message of the Qur anic words. The recognition of the truth or the permissibility of the meanings of the letter lam and the relation of this letter with its subjects, is 188 one of the achievements of this paper, which aims to accurate under anding of Qur anic concepts and teachings and prove the rhetorical miracle of the Qur an. (Received: ; Accepted: ) The phenomenon of in uence is a soft and process that, in the form of soft warfare and in order to reach the goals of domination and change of government, philosophy, and life yle, has entered into all social areas and ill operates using all mechanisms. Studying the in uence and recognizing its methods for detecting the enemy's plots is essential. Cultural in uence is of the ways in which enemies have always used along the hi ory through different ways to prevent the advancement of the goals of Islam on one hand and the purposes of other religions such as Jews and Chri ianity on the other. Cultural in uence has di erent layers, and the mo important point of penetration in cultural in uence is in ltration into religious beliefs of society. Studying the hi ory of Religions of Islam, Jews and Chri ianity, it is concluded that those who were targeted and culturally in uential were those with weak faith and without sight and then were attacked from the 189 very point. This paper, based on the descriptive-analytical method, deals with expressing cultural in uence and its methods in the Qur an and the Te aments. (Received: ; Accepted: ) The book Al-Burhan Fi Tafsir al-qur an by the great traditioni Sayed Hashim Bahrani is an encyclopedia of exegetical traditions. The Qur an exegesis is a knowledge of discovering Allah's Wills, which may be represented through two methods of intellect and narration. The present paper, based on the descriptive-analytic method, seeks to discover the bases, principles, and method of selecting narrations in the commentary of al-burhan and its rengths and weaknesses, as well as the important viewpoints of this great Shi'i scholar on main issues. Findings show that the author, based on his own methodology of authenticating narratives through the validity of quoting them in major Hadith Collections and because of their reference to the dignity and merits of Ahlulbayt (PBUTH), has mo ly expressed the certain quantity of hadiths on particular subjects. He has rarely paid attention to the qualitative and intrinsic analysis of hadiths. Accordingly, he has paid only to chains of transmitters and the multiplicity of ways of quoting them for a bunch of narratives, regarding to the attributes of sands such as husn (goodness) and tawatur (repeating) for the validity and authenticity of the traditions, and for a range of narratives he has looked at content and the 190 exi ence of contradictions between them, in where he has con ned in the summarized notional conclusion. 5 Practices of Disgraceful Makr in The Holy Qur an Rouhollah Akbari; MA of Qur an and Hadith Sciences. (Received: ; Accepted: ) The word makr, often connected to Persian negative concepts such as deception, plot, betrayal, trick, hat, and deceit, in the Qur an and Arabic literature has numerous meanings and more extensive functions, i.e. any kind of thinking, caring and solution, whether it be in good or evil deeds. In the Holy Qur an, both applications have their own evidences; makr in good deeds is regarded as praised makr and in evil deeds is regarded as disgraceful makr, which the latter is said to be makr l-sayyi' in Qur anic terms. The present research aims to survey some of the disgraceful practices of makr in the Qur an, based on the descriptive-analytical method. (Received: ; Accepted: ) The word Ignorance is opposite to the word Science and according to some philologers is antonym to the word Patience, but it is applied in the Qur an as Intellect. The Holy Qur an in many terms insults the ignorant people, and emphasizes that ignorance is the source of many human encroachments that, if not properly treated, causes the de ruction of individuals. The examples of the ignorant in the Qur an and ways to combat the ignorance are of the issues inve igated by this udy. Studying verses related to ignorance show that the ignorance has a semantic opposition with words such as science, patience, and intellect, and the lu ers, mockers, idolaters, oppressors, rebels, holders of suspicion of the Lord, self-portraits and sinners are introduced as examples of the ignorant in the Holy Qur'an. Among ways to face with ignorance include 192 inve igation and explanation, control of desires, mode y and humility, patience, and non-submission to deviations. (Received: ; Accepted: ) The term Tolerance is among vocabularies of hopefulness in Islamic texts. God, The Exalted, expresses this spirit of hope in Qur anic verses repeatedly in order to provide a suitable circum ance for men to escape from darkness and then reach the safe point and guidance, paving the ground for taking people to the Perfection. This term has not been used in the Qur anic verses, but the words related to this meaning are expressed there. The purpose of this research is to identify the related vocabularies and notions to Tolerance in the Holy Qur an in order to have sound recognition of the term. The results show that words such as repentance, forgiveness, blessing, safh, and drowning anger have a meaningful relationship with the concept of Tolerance (tasamuh and tasahul). These applications prove God has shown the practical usage of this term to the servants so 193 that they perceive this concept in a tangible way and cultivate the spirit of Tolerance in themselves. 8 The E ect of Recognition of Addressee s Concentration on Under anding the Holy Qur an and Sunnah Nasser Naja ; Senior Student of the Qom Seminary (Received: ; Accepted: ) In many cases, addressees have rational perceptions and pre-concentrations towards the subject matter prescribed by the Divine Law. In this paper, it is argued that in such cases, before entering into the text and using verbal indications, one mu have a rational analysis, i.e. the concentration is the primary principle; therefore, if the divine law changes the text, it is acceptable, otherwise the concentration of an addressee (direct addressee) will be prescribed by the divine law and then will be followed by the others as well. In addition, the rational under anding of an addressee about the topic of a dialogue is a sign between the speaker and him in the course of mutual under anding. In con ning matters, however, the mere reliance on the interpretation of the text mu be verbal indications. The commitment to this has valuable interpretative, jurisprudential, and principal functions, that guides the views of a juri as the interpreter of the text and prevents him of misconceptions.
