1 A Quranic Study on Soft war Samad Abdollahi Abed * Soft war may be counted among the subjects dealt with in the Holy Quran. As is understood by the holy Quran, cruel and superficially powerful systems of government like Pharaoh and Namrud have used this manner of war against Divie prophets like Moses and Ibrahim. Masterminds of soft war affecting people`s minds reached their aims more easily and quickly. Moreover, soft war is less expensive than hard war and causes those invaded to meet invaders` measures as humanistic. The holy Quran has introduced various forms of soft war in the stories of the prophets and in the happenings in the lifetime of the Prophet of Islam. Deriding religious symbols in the form of joke, sowing the seeds of discord and calling it the way for freedom, rumoring under the title of enlightening and weakening the leader in different ways may be counted as some cases of soft war. Finally it has been concluded that following pure leader and religious teachings would be the best way to oppose such a war. war seeking state of enemies, War of nerves, soft war, soft power, the ways for opposition. 2 A Quranic Study on the Value of Water and Guaranteeing Water Sources for Development During the last century, because of the growth of population, water consumption has grown tenfold. A large amount of the growth has been in the world of Islam. The holy Quran has dealt with water in 290 verses. As is understood by the Quran, in addition to its being a means for power, water has been taken as a means for punishment. It can, therefore, be seen that the number of dead by flood is more than the number of those by earthquake. Today, by the progress of natural sciences, the importance of Quranic teachings in the field of human relationship with nature and natural environment have become more apparent. The holy Quran has paid special attention to nature and its elements including water and its vital benefits in human life. And it is just the problem centered upon today by scientists. This paper has intended to survey the position of water during our age and future as may be understood by Quranic teachings in the field. 3 An Interpretative Study on the Lawfulness of What Sacrificed by the People of the Book Mohammadjavad Enayati Rad * The fifth verse of Maidah chapter is of those not agreed with by commentators on the lawfulness of what sacrificed by the people of the book. The verse clearly refers to the lawfulness of those people`s food for Muslims: The food of those who have received the Scripture is lawful for you. Lexically considered, the word food means sacrifice or something more general than sacrifice. Yet, the traditions under the verse seem to be contradicted. In some traditions by food is meant sacrifice, while in some other seeds. This paper has viewed seeds as an example for food; in this way there can be no contradiction in traditions. 4 Theory of Meaning in Commenting Predicative Qualities Seyyed Mohammadali Ayazi * Mohammad Ezzati Bakhshayesh ** The verses of predicative qualities have considered as a notable challenge of the ambiguous verses. Various views have been presented in the field of which the theories of real qualification and hermeneutics may be known as the most famous. Some have expanded the meaning to explain the predicative qualities; the fact of which two views occurred: one is 'putting words for the spirits of meanings' and the other 'meaning abstraction'. On the former, words have been put for the spirits of meanings and on the latter, they have been essentially put for objective meanings and then, being abstracted from objective properties, they gradually have been applied in the case of non-objective meaning. Many have thought the two views to be one. This paper has given five arguments for their duality. 5 A Quranic Study on Trust and the Problem of Divine Sufficiency Mohammadtaqi Fa`ali * Trust has been known as one of valuable and beautiful the Quran concepts attaining whose truth would be effective for finding the essence of faith and upon which is based one`s understanding of Divine bestowing food upon creatures without limit and His casualty to all causes. Since far back in the history, human mind has been centered on some questions in the field. Therefore, when speaking of human creation and Divine directing of human affairs, a question poses itself as: is Divine in need to man or not? Analyzing the question, some other questions on the relation of trust to laziness and poverty, the way in which one can use trust and common causes and internal and external effects of trust occurred. 6 Quranic Meaning of the Throne with an Analysis of Commentators` Views Ebrahim Kalantari * Khadijeh Rowshanbin ** Quranic meaning of the throne, arsh, has always attracted the attention of many scholars in the field. The question lies in the verses referring clearly to the throne and Divine mounting the throne and the problems pertaining to it. The subject has motivated religious scholars, specially those studying in the field of Quran, and, in this way, various views of the throne have been appeared. It has been intended in this paper to study the whatness of the throne as well as the problems pertaining to it as may be understood by the Quranic verses at first and then, to explain the most considerable views in the field. Of five views given on the throne, the fifth, in addition to its being methodical and comprehensive, regarding the outward meaning of the verses and avoiding any arbitrary meaning, has sought to give a clear commentary on the verses pertaining to the subject.
