Beginning of knowledge: Proverbs 1: 7 says, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. 2. Identify the Lord s ways: Psalm 25:12 says, Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. 3. Know the covenant of God: Psalm 25:14 says, The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. 4. Deliverance from the hands of enemies: 2 Kings 17: 39 says, You shall fear the Lord your God and he will deliver you out of hand of all your enemies. 5. Deliverance by the angels of the Lord: Psalm 34: 7 says, The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him and delivers him. 6. Deliverance from snares of death: Proverbs 14:27 says, The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from snares of death. 7. 5 Family blessings: We can understand how a man who fears the Lord is blessed in his family by reading Psalm Eat the fruit of the labor of your hands: Psalm 128: 2 says, You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands, you shall be blessed and it shall be well with you. 2.Wife like a fruitful vine: Psalm 128:3 says, Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house 3.Children like olive shoots: Psalm 128: 3 says, your Children will be like olive shoots around your table. 4.Blessing upon inheritance: Psalm 128:6 says, May you see your Children s children! 5.Prosperity of Jerusalem: Psalm 128:5, May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem 6.Refuge for children: Proverbs 14:26 says, In the fear of the Lord, one has confidence, and his children will have refuge. So confess your faith as follows: The fear of the Lord will be sent before me Amen. Confess this often. Your faith is the faith that wins the world. Devotee sings Let my heart daily sing praises for God, When you fear the Lord, you will find blessings Keep on singing this. The Lord will give you the fear of God to you, your children and your church members. My beloved brothers & sisters! Matthew 10:28 says, And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Malachi 4:2 says, But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. Our responsibility Ecclesiastes 12:13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandment, for this is the whole duty of man. Book for remembrance Malachi 3:16, Then those feared the Lord spoke with one and another. SOME TESTIMONIES OF THE VILLAGE MINISTERS When we distributed Gospel books in Kottupullampalayam village, one man came and threatened us saying why we came & who sent us. We told him that we did not come to convert but to share the miracles done by Jesus. We prayed for a widow s mother who was bed ridden in Alukuli village. She immediately got up and prayed with us. In Sooripalayam village, people received the Gospel books gladly. Some of them refused to accept them. When we did ministry in Aravankurai village, we were invited to a house for prayer. We prayed for a woman named Radhika who was suffering from shivering, fear and sleeplessness.the Lord gave her healing. In Koothambi village, people gave a complaint to the police station that we came to convert people. Police took away the Gospel books and warned us not to do ministry in that area. 9 When we gave Gospel books to Ponnankaatupudur village, some of the young women who were touched by Jesus after reading the Gospel books went to the believers house who helped us and shared their testimonies as how the Lord love touched them. When we heard about this, we praised and glorified the Lord. We praised the Lord seeing the Lord s touch and the happiness on the faces of many people. After giving the Gospel books in Gandhikar village, we were waiting for the bus. A radical came to us and told that we should not distribute such books hereafter and went. When we offered a Gospel book to a person in Valaiyavalayam village, he refused to take it. Then after sometime the same person returned and got some tracts from us. We gave Gospel book to a home at T.N.Palayam area and went away. The inmates of the house had found a big snake at their house and killed it. When we were returning by the same way in the afternoon, they gave witness saying that the snake was cleared because we had come to their home. Likewise the Lord strengthened us so that we were able to walk around the villages and distribute Gospel books. Glory to God! God gave three of us the grace to participate, share testimonies and sing songs in TVGM 100-village ministry vision camp that was conducted in Neivilai- Tuticorin district. God also gave us the grace to do promotional work by visiting houses at Kanangkulam area. On the last Sunday we were able to do promotional work at Marthandam Kanangkodu LMS Church and Pas. Mohan s Bethel Church in the same area. May the Lord bless Rev. David Thambidass family and Pas. Mohan s family for their hospitality. Gospel work was done at Subashnagar area. Dear Brothers and sisters, Greetings to you in the matchless love of JESUS our Lord..the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus the king of Persia to make a proclamation..the Lord God of Israel, is THE GOD Ezra 1: 1-3 The Spirit of the living God moved the heart of Cyrus and as a result let us see the sequence of the events that took place in his kingdom: The children of God in the exile were moved (1:5), the neighbours gave their substance, assisted and strengthened (1: 6), The Jewish leaders gave free will offerings (2:69), they assembled in unity(3:1), they began to build their altar(3:2), sacrificed burnt offerings(3:3), began to work and supervise (3:8), joined together (3:9), took their places(3:10), they sang and worshiped the Lord(3:11), they finished the work(6:14) and finally the Lord filled their hearts with great joy.(6:22) Like wise, to establish the Kingdom of God in the unreached areas of Srilanka, may the Holy Spirit move our hearts so that we too assist, give, assemble, build, sacrifice, work and supervise, join together, take our places, sing and worship, and finally to experience the joy to see our Srilankans accepting JESUS as their Lord and Saviour. 100 VILLAGE MINISTRY RAKWANA Pastor Prabha the Chairman of the Rakwana Pastor s Fellowship and Pastor Russell Fernando the Vice Chairman organized the distribution program from 30 th June to 2 nd July 2011 at Rakwana AOG Church. 28 volunteers from the AOG, United Pentecostal, Seventh Day Adventist and the Anglican Churches participated. A month ago the AOG Pastor when he was returning home in the night a mob threatened and damaged his motorbike and warned him not to preach the gospel of JESUS CHRIST in that area. Thank God in the very same place God enabled us to distribute 2782 tracts, 678 gospels and collected 88 addresses for follow up. HUNDRED VILLAGE MINISTRY 12

14 100 - Village Ministrty Testimonies V. Dias, Debeen B Gammana - Rakwana I was a sinner and JESUS saved me. Since then I had a desire to share the salvation and thank God for100 village ministry, giving me an opportunity to witness to many people. I walked in the villages and Estates for 3 days distributing tracts and gospels and I was excited and happy to observe the receptiveness of the people to the gospel. Praise God. N.Chandraleka, Kotala. Praise God for His Holy name. I was able to participate at the 100 village ministry for two days. The people showed interest to hear the gospel and few asked us to pray for their problems. We prayed for one family and when we prayed they were in tears. I could sense the power of God and now God has given me a burden to pray for these people continually. V. Mariadas, Madampe Rakwana. I was suffering from oppression by evil spirits for about 2 years, spending nights and day in lonely places and under the trees even in tombs. My parents tried many treatments and took me to temples and kovils, offered poojas but there was no healing in me. On June 30 th one of my brothers took me to a church to pray for my sickness. When I was taken to the church there was a meeting going on and in the end of the meeting I was asked to come to the middle and every body surrounded me and prayed for me. Some thing happened to me and I felt a great release in my body and mind. I was asked to go home and come back on Sunday and they were getting ready to go to the villages to tell about the love of JESUS. I too was moved to go with them and walked for three days together with the Christian brothers and sisters proclaiming JESUS as the true God and healer. JESUS healed me and the very same time he helped me to share the good news. I am happy and it is a wonderful experience.
