1 TWO IN A FIELD ONE TAKEN! BY: E. E. BROOKS WHICH ONE IS TAKEN Matthew 24:40 - Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Luke 17:36 - Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two in a Field, The Righteous and the Wicked, One will be Removed or Taken from the EARTH. Let s examine some scriptures to find out who REALLY is TAKEN from the EARTH and who REMAINS on EARTH. JESUS tells us who is Taken Matthew 24: For as in the days that were before the Flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39And knew not until the Flood came, and TOOK THEM (THE WICKED) ALL AWAY; So Shall Also the Coming of the Son of Man Be. 40Then shall TWO be in the Field; the ONE SHALL BE TAKEN (THE WICKED), and the other left (ON EARTH). THE RIGHTEOUS WILL NEVER LEAVE THE EARTH Proverbs 10:30 - The RIGHTEOUS SHALL NEVER BE REMOVED: but the WICKED SHALL NOT INHABIT THE EARTH. (KJV) WICKED ARE NO MORE TO BE FOUND ON EARTH Proverbs 10:25 - As the whirlwind passeth, so is the Wicked no more: but the RIGHTEOUS is an EVERLASTING foundation. (KJV) THE BLESSED INHERIT THE EARTH Psalm 37:22 - For such as be BLESSED OF HIM (God) SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH; and they that be Cursed of him shall be cut off. (the earth) (KJV) RIGHTEOUS dwell on EARTH forever WICKED cut off the EARTH Psalm 37: For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not HIS SAINTS; they are PRESERVED FOR EVER: but the seed of the Wicked shall be cut off (the earth). 29The RIGHTEOUS SHALL INHERIT THE LAND, and Dwell therein FOREVER. (KJV) BELIEVERS inherit the EARTH EVIL DOERS cut off the EARTH Psalm 37: For EVIL DOERS SHALL BE CUT OFF: BUT THOSE that Wait Upon the LORD, THEY SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH. 10For yet a little while, and the Wicked shall Not Be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. 11BUT THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. RIGHTEOUS inherit the EARTH CURSED cut off the EARTH Psalms 37: The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the RIGHTEOUS SHOWETH MERCY AND GIVETH 22FOR SUCH SHALL BE BLESSED OF HIM AND INHERIT THE EARTH; and they that be Cursed of him shall be cut off. (KJV) UPRIGHT & PERFECT remain on EARTH-WICKED are ROOTED out of the EARTH Proverbs 2: For the Upright shall dwell in the Land (EARTH), and THE PERFECT SHALL REMAIN IN IT. 22But the WICKED shall be cut off from the EARTH, and the Transgressors shall be ROOTED OUT OF IT. 2 GATHER FIRST the TARES The WICKED are the ones TAKEN! TARES ARE TAKEN FIRST! Matthew 13: But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the TARES (WICKED), ye ROOT up also the WHEAT (RIGHTEOUS) with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST the TARES (WICKED!), and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the WHEAT INTO MY BARN. (ON EARTH) (KJV) WICKED ROOTED OUT TARES ROOTED OUT WHEAT REMAIN ON EARTH! Jesus said, AFTER the TRIBULATION THEN the Son of Man Returns! Matthew 24:21-22, For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the ELECT S SAKE those DAYS shall be SHORTENED. (Note: The Elect are still here during the Tribulation!) 29 Immediately AFTER the TRIBULATION of those days 30And THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (KJV) Jesus said Prepare for Tribulation! John 16:33 - In the World YE SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (KJV Jesus Prayed for NO "RAPTURE" JESUS Prayed: "I pray NOT that thou Take Them OUT of This WORLD, but Keep Them from Evil! John 17:15 Did Jesus make a mistake? No! Did Jesus know what he was saying? Yes Jesus said First Tribulation The Church says First Rapture Who are YOU going to Believe? Romans 8:35 - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall TRIBULATION, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (KJV) Jesus prayed for Heaven to come to Earth Matthew 6:10 THY KINGDOM COME (TO EARTH). THY WILL be done IN EARTH, as it is IN HEAVEN. (KJV) God s Throne is on EARTH The Millennium is on EARTH God s Kingdom is also on EARTH! Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD are become the KINGDOMS OF OUR LORD, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (ON EARTH) (KJV) Jesus said the Meek Inherit the EARTH. Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the Meek: for they shall INHERIT THE EARTH. (KJV) But What about being Caught UP? I thought we meet Jesus in the AIR, and in the Clouds? TWO IN A FIELD [E. E. Brooks] 2

3 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be Caught Up together with them in the Clouds, to meet the Lord in the AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (KJV) Clouds and Air both found on EARTH Here is the Greek definition of the word AIR in 1 Thess. 4:17, taken from LOGOS Bible Software AIR = Breathable AIR of Earth s lower atmosphere! AIR: Strong s # 109 aer {ah-ayr'} from aemi (to breathe); 1. the AIR, particularly the lower and denser AIR as distinguished from the higher and rarer air 2. the atmospheric region There is simply NO Air in outer space. I agree that we WILL meet Jesus in the Air but it is the Air of Earth. I agree that we will meet Jesus in the Clouds, but will it be literal Clouds or perhaps could it be a Great Cloud of Witnesses? Here is the Greek definition of the word Clouds in 1 Thess. 4:17, taken from LOGOS Bible Software Clouds = People or Multitude! Clouds: Strong s #3507 nephele {nef-el'-ay} 1] a cloud. From #3509 #3509 nephos {nef'-os} 2] a Cloud, a Large Dense Multitude, a Throng 3] a cloud in the sky CLOUDS CAN ALSO MEAN PEOPLE! The Greek word for "Clouds" in 1 Thess. 4:17 and the Greek word "Cloud of Witnesses," Heb. 12:1, are connected in meaning and entomology. Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a CLOUD of WITNESSES let us run with patience the race that is set before us, (KJV) If we meet Jesus in the Literal Clouds, does that mean Jesus will only return on a Cloudy Day? Hebrews says we are surrounded by a Great Cloud of Witnesses (Dead Saints). Jesus will return with the Dead Saints, not fluffy clouds. But even if you still believe the Clouds are literal.they too are found on EARTH, and therefore Christians will remain in the literal clouds on earth. There is No scripture, which says the Righteous will leave Earth. The Greek Word "Caught UP" is the same word describing Philip s Translation. Philip Never left the Earth; he was changed from one place to another on Earth! 1Thes 4:17 "Caught Up" = Greek Harpazo - Philip s Translation "Caught Away" = Greek Harpazo Acts 8:39-40 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord Caught Away (Harpazo) Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more 40 But Philip was found at Azotus (on Earth): and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea. (KJV) Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be Caught Up (Harpazo) together with them in the Clouds, to meet the Lord in the AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 4 Caught Up to the Mind of Christ When we See Jesus we will be Like Him! We must have the Mind of Christ to be like Jesus is. We must be caught up to a higher spiritual realm like the one Jesus operates in. But we will remain on Earth with Jesus in the breathable air. We will be able to Translate from place to place like Jesus does! We will be Like him when we see him. 1 John 3:2 - Beloved, now are we the Sons of God, and it doth Not Yet Appear what We Shall Be: but we know that, when He shall appear, We Shall Be Like Him; for we shall see him as he is. (KJV) Christians will Be TRANSLATED or CHANGED, but we will NEVER LEAVE THE EARTH in a secret Rapture. God s Plan is fulfilled on EARTH. The concept that Christians will Leave Earth in a Secret Rapture is simply not scriptural. Yes, Christians will be Changed, Translated and meet Jesus, but not to be removed from EARTH. Yes Christians will be Caught UP to a Spiritual Realm, but not to leave the EARTH and go to outer space. The idea that Christians will Leave the EARTH and be Raptured to Heaven began just about 150 years ago. Margret MacDonald had a vision in 1830 and started the idea that Christians will be removed from earth in a Secret Rapture. The word Rapture, as Christians know it today, began to be used at that time. Before then Christians and scholars believed we would Go Through the Tribulation. Jesus did NOT teach nor even hint to a removal of Christians from the earth but Tradition does. I used to believe in the Rapture Theory for over 20 years, and then God opened my eyes. People think that if they Doubt the Rapture that somehow they are Doubting God. This is simply not true. Jesus prayed that Christians NOT be Taken Out of this World! "I pray NOT that thou Take Them OUT of This WORLD, but Keep Them from Evil! John 17:15. Did Jesus forget about the "Rapture" in that prayer? Will the Father deny that Prayer which JESUS prayed? Did Jesus know what he was saying? I think he knew exactly what he was saying. Jesus said he would return AFTER the Tribulation. Matthew 24:29-30 Immediately AFTER the Tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30And THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man Coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (KJV) Many Christians & prominent theologians do NOT believe in a "Pre-Trib Rapture" or even the basic "Secret Rapture" idea that Christians will Leave the Earth. I have heard it said from the Pulpit that if you even doubt the Rapture, then you would Not make it. The psychology of that is to keep everyone in fear of going through the terrible Tribulation and thus keep them in confines of their doctrinal structure. I used to believe in that traditional view for many years.biblical patterns simply do not support the Rapture Theory, but rather always show saints Overcoming while IN TRIBULATION. There was No Rapture for Noah, he went THROUGH the Flood, and remained on EARTH. There was No Rapture for Daniel, he went THROUGH the Lion s Den, and remained on EARTH. There was No Rapture for the 3 Hebrew Children, they went THROUGH the Fiery Furnace, and the 4th figure appeared IN THE FIRE (Jesus!). The pattern is clear that we will go through the Tribulation.God Can and Will preserve the Righteous even Through the Tribulation, and they will be unharmed. When God protects you; then Who can harm you? Nobody! 5 Wise, 5 Foolish ALL Virgins! Matthew 25:1-2 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto Ten Virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And Five of them were Wise, and Five were Foolish. Who are these Foolish Virgins/Christians? TWO IN A FIELD [E. E. Brooks] 4

5 But there will be some Christians that will NOT have enough OIL in their vessels; they are called the 5 Foolish Virgins. Who are these 5 Foolish Virgin/Christians? Are these the Christians telling us to prepare to leave the earth in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture? HALF of ALL the Virgins/Christians are FOOLISH! There will be 5 Wise Virgins/Christians who have made PREPARATION for TRIBULATION. OIL can also mean a Preparation. There are also 5 Foolish Virgins/Christians who are currently Preparing to Escape the Tribulation, via a secret rapture! They do not think they will even NEED any OIL because they think they will NOT BE HERE on EARTH when the TRIBULATION starts. I think it is safe to say that Half of all Christians are looking to be raptured out of the Great Tribulation. The Church will be very surprised to find that there is NO Pre-Trib. or Mid Trib. escape in a "Rapture", and that the concept of Leaving the Earth in any Rapture was merely Tradition and Not Truth. Most Christians say, "Well it doesn t really matter what you believe." But one must ask "EXACTLY WHO ARE THE 5 FOOLISH CHRISTIANS?" They will perish and not make it because it will be such a terrible Tribulation as never seen before. Jesus said that it would be so terrible that if God did not Shorten the Days even the Elect would perish. Why would God have to Shorten the Days to Save the Elect, IF THEY HAVE BEEN RAPTURED OUT? Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the Elect's sake those DAYS shall be Shortened. God will Save the Elect BY: Check one: By Shortening the Days of the Tribulation Removing us via Rapture If the Elect are Gone, then why would God have to Shorten the Days on EARTH to save the Elect? The ELECT WILL REMAIN ON EARTH therefore God will have to Shorten the Days of Tribulation so the Elect will NOT PERISH. Nowhere does it say that God will Rapture the Elect to save them it says that he will Shorten the Tribulation in order to Save them. I believe Jesus now but I used to believe in church tradition. Only God can give you Spiritual Eyes & Ears to see his truth. Wise Christians PREPARE FOR TRIBULATION! God will keep the ELECT safe and they will RULE & REIGN with him for 1,000 years on Earth! Some will go all the way through the Tribulation and actually sit IN the very Throne of God! They are called the Overcomers. Some will make it, why not you? Revelation 3:21 To him that Overcometh will I grant to sit with me In My Throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
