1 EL-ELYON - THE MOST HIGH GOD BY: E. E. BROOKS ADMITTED AND DELIBERATE CORRUPTION JESUS REVEALS THE TRUE NATURE OF EL-ELYON EL-ELYON IS THE FATHER CONFUSED PHARISEES EL-ELYON SCRIPTURES There can only be one Most High God. While God has many different natures that he has expressed to us over the centuries, only one is the Most High nature. When we learn about a new name of God, we really learn about a new nature. We want to know what our Father is really like. Someday we will meet El-Elyon... face-toface! Revelation 22:4 And They shall See His Face; and His Name shall be in their foreheads. The feast of Passover fully came when Jesus was crucified for the sins of the world. Jesus is the Passover lamb that paid the full price for all time. During our Passover experience as Christians we learned all about Jesus as our savior, healer and Lord. When the day of Pentecost had fully come the Holy Spirit was revealed to the world. Pentecost taught us about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and about the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. Pentecost revealed the Holy Spirit to the world. We can therefore expect that the feast of Tabernacles will bring a revealing of the Father. When Tabernacles fully comes, it will usher in a new understanding of Who the Father really is...and What he is really like. Jesus was revealed during Passover The Holy Spirit was revealed during Pentecost The Father will be revealed during Tabernacles The Hebrew word for the Most High God is El-Elyon. This is the nature that God has revealed only to certain individuals throughout the Old and New Testaments. While God revealed himself in times past as El-Elyon (to a select few), he has chosen to keep it hidden until the time is right. In the last days we will see a further revelation of the Most High God. That nature that God kept hidden shall be revealed to those who become one with him. An earthly father shows a different side of himself to his teenage son than he does to his infant son. Both these sons view their dad in a different way. The infant sees a provider while the teenager may see him as the lawgiver, with many rules. After the teenager grows up and has a family of his own, then his relationship with his father changes. The son realizes that the father was really loving and caring. The more the son matures, the more the Father reveals his Highest nature. It would appear to be an easy thing to find the nature of the Most High God by simply looking up all the scriptures that describe him. But there is a slight problem that we must deal with when looking up the Hebrew word for El-Elyon. Ancient Scribes deliberately changed the names of God when they copied the old manuscripts! ADMITTED AND DELIBERATE CORRUPTION The names El-Elyon (and others) were deliberately replaced with the word Yahweh by the scribes who copied ancient texts. They openly admitted corrupting the original manuscripts. The name of that group was called the Yahvist or Yahweh-ist. They decided to change the various names of God to reflect the name Yahweh because that was the God they knew. This makes it very hard to know which verses were deliberately changed. So when we look for El-Elyon in the Bible, we must realize that his name was hidden. God is sovereign and he allowed those Yahvist to corrupt and hide this name/nature of God. But they did not corrupt them all! God did reveal himself as El-Elyon, the Most High God to David. There are still many scriptures that contain the Hebrew name El-Elyon. 2 The Yahvist did not change every name to Yahweh. And in fact, they did make a crucial mistake. They erroneously inserted the name "Yahweh" in Genesis over 100 times...but God said that He was not yet known by the name Yahweh until Exodus 6:2-3! Exodus 6:2-3 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD (Yahweh) 3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty (El-Shaddai), but by my name JEHOVAH (Yahweh) Was I NOT Known To Them. Note: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did NOT know Yahweh The Yahvist had absolutely no right to change any scriptures, but they did. The Yahvist inserted the name Yahweh into texts before God was known as Yahweh. It was not until 500 years later that God revealed himself to Moses as Yahweh, for the very first time. The Yahvist was but one of three major Jewish sects of the day. Each had different views about God (much like denominations do today). They were the; 1) Priestly 2) Elohist 3) Yahvist. Neither the Priestly scribes nor the Elohist scribes used the name "Yahweh" anywhere in Genesis. But the Yahvist wrongly inserted "Yahweh" as early as Gen. 2:4! While it was not a coincidence that the Yahvist corrupted the names of God, neither is it a coincidence that they overlooked Exodus 6:2-3 which gives us the truth. So how do we go about finding out the nature of the Most High God? How can we learn about the Highest nature of our Father? Well first we should read every scripture where the Hebrew name El-Elyon is found. The Yahvist could do nothing unless the Most High God permitted it. El-Elyon decided to hide his name from some and reveal it to others. Jesus spoke in parables so that some could hear while others could not understand. God permitted his name to be hidden in the same manner. God did reveal himself as El-Elyon to a chosen few. Some today can only see God as Yahweh but this is not God's Highest nature. Jesus is the son of El-Elyon, the Most High God. Luke 1:35 The angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest (El-Elyon) shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:32 He (Jesus) shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest (El-Elyon) and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: Even after we've searched all the scriptures that speak about E1Elyon, we must then look at Jesus. He is the perfect example of the nature of the Most High. Jesus is the son of the Highest...El-Elyon. The life and actions of Jesus all reflect the nature of El-Elyon. If we want to know what El-Elyon is really like, then we must understand and embrace Mercy, Forgiveness and Love, for these are the things Jesus taught. Jesus never condemned, but rather he forgave. JESUS REVEALS THE TRUE NATURE OF EL-ELYON Luke 6:35-38 But Love ye your Enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the HIGHEST (El-Elyon): for He is Kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be Ye Therefore Merciful As Your Father (El-Elyon) also is Merciful. 37 Judge Not, and ye shall not be judged: Condemn Not, and ye shall not be condemned: Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. 3 John 14:6-12 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me (Jesus) hath seen the Father (El-Elyon); and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. The most complete picture we could ever get of El-Elyon is found by looking at the life and words of Jesus. In fact, nobody can know E1Elyon without knowing Jesus. We can see El-Elyon in action through his son Jesus. All the great works that Jesus did were expressions of the Most High, such as the healing miracles and spreading love, mercy & forgiveness. Jesus is a priest of the Most High (El-Elyon) after the order of Melchizedek. Jesus was not a priest of Yahweh after the order of Aaron. There is a higher order than Yahweh, which the Yahvist could never stop or hide completely. Hebrews 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 7:1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God (El-Elyon), who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him. It is important to realize that El-Elyon and Yahweh are really the same person (God). What is so very different is their natures. Yahweh is the masculine God of war, the lawgiver and God of wrath and judgment. Did Yahweh give the old law? Yes he did. Did Yahweh establish the Aaronic priesthood? Yes he did. Did God reveal himself as Yahweh to Moses and the children of Israel? Yes he did. Is Yahweh the highest nature of our God? No... El-Elyon is. He simply changed his ways of dealing with man. Now the new law is Love. Why would God make Jesus a priest after the order of Melchizedek and not after Yahweh and Aaron? Because God wants to reveal his highest nature to his sons. The nature of Yahweh is good, but it is not the highest. El-Elyon is the highest and most desirable nature of our Father. El-Elyon is a God of Love, Mercy and Forgiveness. Knowing the true nature of the Most High God goes beyond pronunciation. It is a realization of the extent of his Love towards all his children. All the wonderful Love that Jesus showed was but a reflection of El-Elyon. All the compassion Jesus had simply mirrored the compassion of El-Elyon. The forgiveness Jesus brought revealed the forgiving heart of El-Elyon. The mercy Jesus has for us is the mercy of El-Elyon. All the things we love Jesus for are the attributes of El-Elyon. Jesus and El-Elyon are one. John 10:30 I and my Father (El-Elyon) are one. John 17:11 I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through shine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. There is a group who will know El-Elyon. They will become one with him just like Jesus. This group will overcome every enemy including death. They will actually put on the mind of Christ and sit IN God's throne. They will not only sit in El-Elyon's Throne with Jesus, but they will also be one with them. These must come to know El-Elyon and his highest nature. John 17:21-26 That They all may be One; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the Glory which thou gayest me I have given them; that They may be one, even as we are one 23 I in them, and thou in me, that They may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast Loved me. 4 24 Father, I will that They also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that They may behold my Glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, the world hath Not Known thee: but I have Known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26 And I have declared unto them Thy Name (Nature of El-Elyon), and will declare it: that the Love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in Them, and I in Them. CONFUSED PHARISEES The Pharisees knew the ways and laws of Yahweh. They were experts in the laws of Yahweh but ignorant of El-Elyon. Jesus knew the highest nature of the Father. This brought confusion to those who only saw Yahweh, namely the Pharisees and religious leaders of the day. El-Elyon was the unknown God to them. Paul knew who El-Elyon was. El-Elyon is now being revealed to Y-O-U! Acts 17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, Him declare I unto you. The Pharisees knew that Yahweh ordered the adulterous woman to be stoned to death. Jesus also knew it, but he chose to forgive her. Jesus was under a higher law of Love that said to grant her Mercy and Forgive her. The law demanded her to be stoned but Jesus was not after the order of Yahweh and Aaron. Jesus showed compassion and forgiveness. The Pharisees were confused because they simply did not know the nature of El- Elyon. John 8:4-5, 7, 10-11, They (the Pharisees) say unto him (Jesus), Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses in the Law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?...7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her...l0 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more Then said they (the Pharisees) unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. Today we expect to see the same from the religious leaders of our day. The modern day Yahvist will claim that El-Elyon is a not a nature of God, but rather a title for Yahweh. We expect that some will simply not be able to see the nature of El-Elyon. The feast of Tabernacles will reveal this Highest nature of our loving and merciful Father, El-Elyon. Even today the church worships a God that they really do not know. The Overcomers will know the Most High. They will receive hidden manna or hidden truth. God was the one who decided to hide his highest nature until the fullness of Tabernacles. Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that Overcometh will I give to eat of the Hidden Manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a New Name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Just as Jesus is the manifestation or expression of El-Elyon, so will it be with the Overcomers. The manifestation of the Sons of God will be a revealing of the nature of El-Elyon. The Greek word for both Manifestation & Revelation is the same. Both are from the Greek word: Apokalupsis. It is our English word "Apocalypse." Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the Manifestation <602> of the sons of God. Rev. 1:1 The Revelation<602> of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: EL ELYON [E. 5 Manifestation<602> = Apokalupsis -- Revelation<602> = Apokalupsis Definition: 602 Apokalupsis {ap-ok-al'-oop-sis} n f AV - revelation 12, be revealed 2, to lighten , manifestation 1, coming 1, appearing 1;18 1a) laying bear, making naked 1b) disclosure of truth, instruction 2a) concerning things before unknown 2b) used of events by which things or states or persons hitherto withdrawn from view are made visable to all 3) manifestation, appearance El-Elyon will Manifest or Reveal himself to his Sons. They will see him face-to-face. The Manifested Sons will in turn Reveal His Highest nature to the world. El-Elyon sits in the Mercy Seat, which is his throne. Jesus also sits there and those who Overcome will also sit IN God's throne with them. The Mercy Seat is the Throne of Mercy, and Mercy is always for the guilty. To Know El-Elyon is to Know Mercy. Hosea 6:6 For I desired Mercy, and Not Sacrifice; and the Knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Mat. 9: Jesus said unto them, They that be whole need not physician, but they that are sick. 13 But Go Ye and Learn What That Meaneth, I will have MERCY, and Not Sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Note: Anyone serious about studying El-Elyon must read a 514 page book by David Ebaugh titled: "EL- ELYON NOW." It's the only book I know dedicated to the subject of the Most High.
