The Women s Ministry of First Baptist Church of Glenarden is excited to host the annual FBCG Women s Conference scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10 Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 in Upper Marlboro, Md. This year s theme is He Loves Me! Our conference is designed to empower women to live confidently and consciously, and to move in their divine purpose and destiny while understanding God s great love for them. Ultimately it is our hope that participants will inspire others to the do same. Our Women s Conference has served thousands of women of all ages for over 12 years! The diverse group of attendees includes women in a variety of leadership and professional roles, church and community leaders, homemakers, educators, entrepreneurs, as well as middle, high school and college students from the Washington, D.C. metro area and across the country. Last year s conference was promoted through numerous outlets including radio interviews, print advertisements, social media and television advertisements. As a result, nearly 1,700 women attended the conference. In the past, we have hosted internationally known speakers, preachers, television personalities and gospel music recording artists who inspired, informed and uplifted our women and teens. This year is no different. Conference attendees will experience dynamic, powerful and life-changing sessions from more than 20 well respected speakers. The passion of this conference is to change lives and impact the thousands of women and girls in attendance. 3 GENERAL INFORMATION Event: First Baptist Church of Glenarden 2014 Women s Conference Dates: Friday, Oct. 10 Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 Location: FBCG Worship Center, 600 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774; FBCG Ministry Center, 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, MD Projected Attendance: Approximately 3,000 women (ages 11 and up) FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF GLENARDEN Under the leadership of Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr., First Baptist Church of Glenarden s weekly attendance has grown to more than 11,000 people. A vibrant ministry on the move, First Baptist offers over 100 ministries (i.e., organizations), four Sunday worship services, Tuesday night and Wednesday noonday Bible studies. The church has two campuses located in Upper Marlboro and Landover, Md. Pastor Jenkins and his wife, First Lady Trina Jenkins, director of the Family Life Ministries Department and the Women s Group, have dedicated their lives to developing dynamic disciples who impact the lives of people in our community and throughout the world. FBCG WOMEN S GROUP The Women s Group is comprised of 15 ministries. The mission is to help develop women to reach their maximum potential spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially using the Word of God as the foundation. The vision is to develop women to be dynamic disciples through various programs, corporate events and outreach activities. CONFERENCE SYNOPSIS The FBCG Women s Group hosts this dynamic, life-changing and ever-growing annual Women s Conference that has expanded to include girls as young as 11 years old. The two-day event will feature internationally known speakers and gospel recording artists from across the country. FRIDAY, OCT. 10, 2014 (7:30 P.M.)* A Love Fest evening of praise and worship via praise artists, spoken word and a celebrity interview. This will be a time of reflection, renewal and repentance for tweens, teens and women alike. SATURDAY, OCT. 11, 2014 (8 A.M. 4 P.M.) The day will include numerous exhibitors sharing information on women s health, finances and social issues. In addition, empowerment sessions and workshops will feature local and internationally known speakers, preachers and gospel recording artists.
