3 03 As we look back on 2017, let it be a reminder of the amazing things that can happen when people commit to living their life on purpose. Every number has a name, every name has a story, and every story matters. Thank you for being such an incredible church and giving your lives away to others. Because of you heaven is a much bigger place. The Bible says that heaven celebrates when even one gives their life to Christ. So let s join in and celebrate what God did through us in 2017! Cultivate moved from Thompson high school to the current Alabaster campus and expanded to two worship experiences.

5 05 OUR STORY It s amazing to see what God has done over a few short years. We are just getting started and the best is yet to come! The Doss and Matthews families moved to Shelby County to build a laucn team. Cultivate Church launched January 8th at Thompson high school. Cultivate moved from Thompson high school to the current Alabaster campus and expanded to two worship experiences. To accommodate growth Cultivate added a third worship experience at the Alabaster Campus. Cultivate began the process of launching the Columbiana campus with interest meetings and building renovations. The main thing has always been to see life change take place. Our desire is to see people discover what it means to live life on purpose. Since 2012, 755 people have said yes to Jesus and life on purpose!

10 SMALL GROUPS Small Groups are how we grow both larger and smaller at the same time. We believe real life change happens in small groups. We weren t meant to do life alone, we are better together.

We weren t meant to do life alone, we are better together. There were groups for men, women, teenagers, and children. There were groups meeting over lunch, book studies, at the lake, and more. 97 Small Groups were offered across three semesters. Groups can be based on anything and are a great 300+ opportunity to build quality friendship. People participated in Small Groups. gathering in homes, parks, restaurants, and other places.

12 12 THE 90% Cultivate Church operates on 90% of the previous years budget. The Lead Team, along with the Administrative Pastor, and Trustees, oversee all financial matters. 15 15 GIVING BACK The heart of Cultivate is to be generous to our communities. We give, serve, and love on our county, state, nation, and world. Each week as you check in on social media we support a cause. Families from all over the state joined us as we provided inflatables, games, food, drinks, photos with the

Families from all over the state joined us as we provided inflatables, games, food, drinks, photos with the Easter Bunny, and more. The egg drop is a great way for Cultivate to let people know we want something for them and not from them. It is our way of being a generous representation of Jesus. The event is 100% free.

17 17 KIDSFEST 2017 Kidsfest is a blast each and every year. The entire cteam comes togher to support Cultivate Kids in hosting hundreds of kids for three nights of fun for the whole family. Kidsfest is 100% free and is another simple way we love on our county. There are tons of prizes, candy, and games given away. On the final night there is an after party with free food and inflatables.

18 18 LIVE 2 LEAD JOHN MAXWELL Each year John Maxwell hosts a live simulcast event for leaders all across the country. Notable speakes such as Dave Ramsey and Warrick Dunn joined John Maxwell to equip those who lead others. This year Cultivate hosted local business owners and city leaders. Cultivate covered the ticket cost and price of materials for anyone who registered to attend. Among those who attended were local business owners, public educators, law enforcement, and others desiring to enhance their leadership abilities. In addition to covering the cost of the event, our cteam came out to serve and prepare the day for leaders in our community to take part in the event.

20 VARIOUS SERVES Throughout the year Cultivate serves in various ways. We serve our Brother Bryan Mission family every month that has a fifth Sunday.

20 20 VARIOUS SERVES Throughout the year Cultivate serves in various ways. We serve our Brother Bryan Mission family every month that has a fifth Sunday. We prepare an entire meal and lead them in a worship experience including music and message. The egg drop brings hundreds from Cultivate to serve thousands in our city. This event is always our first big serve of the year. We gave away thousands of pieces of candy, hotdogs, and drinks at the Columbiana Halloween parade and Shelby County Monster Walk. We served hot chocolate to hundreds of people at the Alabaster Christmas parade, and took part in the Columbiana Christmas parade. People attending a Shelby County High School football game were surprised when Cultivate bought free drinks for the first 200 people through the gate. It was a simple gesture of generosity from our church to the community. In addition to these specific events, Cultivate serves throughout the year helping the elderly, disabled, children, the homeless, and familes in need. Cultivate is full of generous people who give away their time, talent, and treasure.

The previous conference room in the main building was a shared nursery space to accommodate the growth of our nursery department.

22 22 ADMIN BUILDING To help accommodate growth we renovated a 1,200 sqft office space in the building next door to the church. The space provides two offices, a large meeting space for teams, counseling space, and a community work area. Moving the conference room to the admin building allowed the room to become a permanent nursery. After feeling a call from the Lord they spent all of 2017 preparing for the move and began full-time missions in December We are so proud of this family and are honored to partner with them as they live life on purpose.

23 23 VAN MINISTRY Our heart has alwasy been to provide a place for everyone to find a home a Cultivate. This year we took another step forward in providing that opportunity to our Brother Bryan mission family. Not only do we serve them at the mission several times a year, now a team of people drive the van to pick them up for church every Sunday. Even better, many of the men are serving on the cteam.
