A Case for Revitalization Every church will face the challenge, at some point it its life, to revitalize. Simply put, churches need to redream the dream to remain effective in their ministry and mission. A Tapestry of Missions Discover ways to include missions in every aspect of your church and to give everyone an opportunity to be involved. Biggest Tax News in a Generation Most of the headlines about tax reform do not affect most Alabamians. One major item for us has been totally neglected. In this session, we will find out what is really important for us in the new tax law. Casting Nets for a Spiritual Harvest Our culture is being shaken to its very foundations. In times like these, people begin searching for security, stability, and hope. God is preparing us for a spiritual harvest, and He may well be announcing to us: At an acceptable time I listened to you, and in the day of salvation, I helped you. See, now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation! It s time for us to start casting nets for a spiritual catch. Come learn how. Choosing a Bible Study Curriculum We ll look at several questions to ask in choosing a Bible study resource that will work best with your church. Churches Experiencing God Rejuvenate your church s experience of God s presence, guidance, and power, and introduce a new generation to the transforming realities of Experiencing God. Hear the testimonies of other churches and be challenged and inspired by coauthor Claude King to guide your church to experience God. Daily Discipleship Through Sunday School Move beyond a typical Bible study in Sunday School by employing a Daily Discipleship Guide. Help members meet with God daily, spur one another on toward faithfully following Jesus Christ, and enjoy a rich small-group experience. Evaluate and Be Open to Change Find in God s Word where our disobedience is stifling both growth and health. Helping Your Church Return to Her First Love When people love the Lord, they obey and honor Him. The Lord s Supper is a wonderful opportunity to help your church return to her first love for Christ. Learn the importance of preparing for the Lord s Supper so you can partake in a worthy manner. You will be introduced to Come to the Lord s Table and encouraged by the stories of personal and church revival that began with Communion. How to Prepare the Next Generation This is a step that is often ignored. Hear how Jesus call to Discipleship ensures a healthy future for every church. How to Properly Handle Charitable Contributions Do you know the IRS rules for charitable contributions? About designated contributions? This session will help. Life Conversation-3 Circles This tool helps people use three simple circles that represent God s Design, Brokenness, and the Gospel which can be drawn, for example, on a napkin during lunch to communicate the Gospel. The 3 circles app can be downloaded to your phone by searching Life Conversation Guide in the app store. 5 Descriptions Continue on p. 6

17 PRESCHOOL SUNDAY SCHOOL TOPIC DESCRIPTIONS 3 Gifts for Preschoolers Every one of us loves to get gifts. Come and unwrap 3 gifts that each preschool teacher needs. Being the Sunday School Leader God Wants What does God want from me to be the BEST Sunday School teacher? Connecting to the Hearts of Preschoolers and Their Families We ve all heard the statement, People don t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Building relationships with preschoolers and their families can be challenging at times. Come learn practical ways to connect, build relationships, and communicate that you care to preschoolers and families. Disruptions or Opportunities? Many times what we may see as disruptive or hard to teach children are actually opportunities to see how God has uniquely gifted them. In this session, we ll discuss strategies to see potential in each child. Does Your Teaching Connect? Shouldn t we teach kids in the way God created them to learn? Come discover how to make your teaching connect with preschoolers and children, help them succeed and be a shining stars. Don t Forget the Bible The Bible is a special book. Do preschoolers in your class have opportunities to use the Bible? During this conference, we ll discuss the importance of using the Bible with preschoolers and practical ways to use it in your teaching. Equipping Parents to Be Spiritual Leaders in Their Homes If we believe parents are to be the spiritual leaders in their homes, we as church leaders need to come alongside and equip them. Come learn ways to equip and partner with parents. Hand in Hand Come join us as we learn some ways to get parents involved. I am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Just how did God create preschoolers and how do they learn? Safety 1 st Churches must make safety and security a priority. Come learn ways preschool and children s leaders can create and maintain a safe and secure children s preschool ministry. Stretching Outside Your Box Come and see how to stretch up high, down low, and out wide in your preschool Sunday School. 17

19 ADULT DISCIPLESHIP TOPIC DESCRIPTIONS Casting Nets for a Spiritual Harvest Our culture is being shaken to its very foundations. In times like these people begin searching for security, stability, and hope. Churches Experiencing God Rejuvenate your church s experience of God s presence, guidance, and power and introduce a new generation to the transforming realities of Experiencing God. Taking Your Church to Prayer Boot Camp Experience some fresh dimensions of prayer and prepare to lead a Prayer Boot Camp for your church to help people learn to pray more effectively and strategically. You will receive and learn how to use tools to conduct your own Prayer Boot Camp (or use them in ongoing prayer meeting experiences) for your small group or church. Transformed into Christlikeness Would you agree with the Apostle Paul when he wrote, We have the mind of Christ? You can! Claude King, coauthor of The Mind of Christ with T. W. Hunt, will guide this examination of the characteristics, attitudes, habits, and behaviors of Jesus Christ and help you understand ways God is working in you to transform you into His image for His purposes and for His glory. 19
