3 Pastor s Pen... A Word in season: speak softly and carry a big stick... Do you sometimes find yourself defending God and His purpose? Wisdom: a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. We do not have to defend God s kingdom, nor do we have to compromise our convictions. We need only to speak the truth of any situation with humility, and the power of God s Spirit will amplify the truth in power. Don t allow disagreement to become a shouting match; with one or both of you walking away in anger. Trust Him to bring you through every conflict in victory. What is a word in season? It's simply a word from God that comes just when you need it. The word of God is living and powerful and when it comes, it removes bondages and brings forth truth. It shines the light of God on the situation and when the light of the word of God shines, darkness and deception have to go. Do you need a word in season? Then, listen. You may be surprised at how the word comes. It may come through a television show, it may come from a billboard on the interstate, it may come from a simple conversation with a friend or even a child - one thing is for sure - that word will surely come. God cares so much for you - He doesn't want you weary from battle. Elvie Cole, had part of her colon and a tumor removed Joseph s Example "Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a spring. His branches run over the wall." Joseph was not limited to conditions or circumstances. God used him to bless nations. It was God who raised Joseph to the second highest position in all of Egypt. Egyptians despised Hebrews. The Hebrews were shephards. Egyptians had the upper hand, but God had the last word. No matter what you are faced with, He is still God. As His love worked in Joseph's life, His love will work in yours as well. You can trust Him! Joseph not only committed himself to God, he also knew one of the many attributes that moved the heart of God, which is Love and forgiveness. Joseph put this into practice. Genesis 49:2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father. "Love is something you do."
