He went to the

3 high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to 3 Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, Jesus Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? Saul of Tarsus: Who are you, Lord? Jesus Greg Murray I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting, Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do. Narrator Donna Jones The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. 8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. 9 For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything. 10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision. Jesus Ananias!

4 Ananias Yes, Lord, Jesus Greg Murray Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight. Ananias Greg Murray Lord, I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name. Jesus Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name. Narrator Donna Jones Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, Ananias Greg Murray Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here has sent

5 me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Narrator Donna Jones Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Then I shall bow in humble adoration, And there proclaim, my God, How great Thou art! Crown Him With Many Crowns Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne. Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own! Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee; And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity. Crown Him the Lord of love: Behold His hands and side, Rich wounds, yet visible above, In beauty glorified; No angel in the sky can fully bear that sight, And downward bends His wandering eye at mysteries so bright.

7 Crown Him the Lord of life, who triumphed over the grave, Who rose victorious to the strife for those He came to save. His glories now we sing, who died, and rose on high, Who died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die. Crown Him the Lord of heaven: One with the Father known, One with the Spirit Through Him given From yonder glorious throne. To thee be endless praise. For thou for us hast died. Be thou O Lord through endless days Adored and magnified. The Family of God I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God, I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His Blood! Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod, For I'm part of the family, The Family of God. Softly and Tenderly Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling Calling for you and for me; Patient and loving He is waiting and watching Watching for you and for me.

8 Come home, come home, You who are weary, come home; Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, Calling, O sinner, come home! Oh, for the wonderful love He has promised Promised for you and for me! Tho' we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon Pardon for you and for me! CHURCH AT SUN VILLAGE IN ACTION A WARM WELCOME It is our privilege to worship the Lord our God freely without intimidation or fear of opposition. The psalmist exhorts, Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Let us, therefore, enter into the worship service in a spirit of reverence, giving honor to Almighty God. It is our hope that each of us here today will experience a very meaningful time of worship and that your Christian life will be enriched by having joined with us today. If you are a visitor

10 Pray for our home-bound members that they will be encouraged as they look to God for His blessings Missions Ethnos 360 (New Tribes Mission) Danny and Tammy Mixter continue their work with New Tribes Mission at the New Tribes Institute headquarters in Michigan. Note: the name has changed to Ethnos 360. Students come from all over to study the Word of God and gain insights into tribal missions in preparation for whatever God has for them. Danny and Tammy have the opportunity to offer encouragment and guidance for students as they consider what God has for them in the future regarding tribal missions. Danny prepared the Institute facilities this summer for classes that started this fall. Pray for the whole family including their three children as they serve the Lord together. Tammy is homeschooling Addie and Emeera. Josiah is not yet old enough for school. Persecuted Church Central Asia The Surprising Way God Is Growing His Young Church in Central Asia:

11 August 14, by Lindy Lowry in Asia, "Stories of Persecution" Like so many young people growing up in Central Asia, Ulzhan* was headed for destruction. Throughout the former Soviet countries, increasing numbers of youth are turning to alcohol and drugs. Ulzhan needed larger and larger quantities of alcohol and drugs to fill the hole in his soul. When Jesus came into his life through the church, everything changed. Life became meaningful. Today, he serves God in often very stressful circumstances in Central Asia. Open Doors recently spoke to the now underground church leader at a secret location. In this rare interview, Ulzhan reveals how God grabbed hold of his heart, how he fiercely prayed for his Muslim parents, and how God uses persecution to grow His Church. World, National, and State Concerns We need to be diligent in our prayers about the unrest in our nation that is causing great division across the country. Pray for a return to civility in relationships within this great land. Pray that hate and violence will be stopped. Pray for President Donald Trump as he continues his four year term of office. These are critical days for our nation. [1 Timothy 2:1-4].

12 Pray earnestly for a revival in this land, that Christians will boldly take a stand for their Christian beliefs. Pray that those who are attempting to impose restrictions on us that are contrary to the Law of God would be stopped. Pray for our National and State legislators. Pray for the congress as they deal with critical issues facing our nation. Pray for all those who are in leadership over the political matters facing our national, state, and local governments. Pray for the members of the courts around the country as they deliberate on matters of importance to our nation s wellbeing. Pray for those in Law Enforcement throughout the country. Pray for God s intervention to stop the constant attacks against police and those charged with keeping law and order. Pray faithfully for the safety of our nation as we live with the reality of terrorist threats and activity. Pray for those who are responsible for monitoring those threats. Pray for protection of our troops as they serve around the world to keep and maintain peace. Pray for wisdom for those who provide leadership for military operations. Pray for God s direction in the U.S. involvement in the Middle East and specifically Israel. Pray for our president, our legislators, and military officials

13 who are involved in making decisions regarding Israel. Pray for the land of Israel, for her people, and for their protection. Pray for her leaders and for protection from those who would threaten her sovereignty as a nation. Pray for peace in Jerusalem their capital. Pray about the relations between the United States and Israel. Do not cease to pray for peace around the world.
