Growing up in the church, I was blessed by the many servants of God who passed through our local church in ministry. I witnessed in them Holy Spirit passion, anointing, me for a lifetime of service through their witness. 4 Week 2 Week 2 We simply MUST get the most Gospel to the most people in the shortest amount of time possible. We simply MUST get the most Gospel to the most people in the shortest amount of time possible. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Luke 10:2 This Harvest is not a passive thing. It is not like the harvest picture that the artist paints, where you see only a beautiful wheat field that the reapers are going out so peaceably and gathering in the harvest that is not the whole picture. The truth is that the harvest is not just out there ready to be picked up and brought in. There are elements to fight, there are insects to fight. There is a time when we must hurry or the harvest will be lost Look at Hebrews 11:33. Who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions. Notice these words conquered, obtained, shut these are aggressive words. Promises must be obtained. They stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire. Escaped the edge of the sword These were ordinary people whose weaknesses were turned into strengths. The Bible says they became powerful in battle. We must become powerful in the harvesting. We must go into the harvest field. We must be aggressive in our actions as we reap this harvest with love. We cannot simply come and enjoy a church service and be entertained. This world needs Jesus. The Bible says if the harvest is not taken in, it will always end. If we don t get the harvest in it is going to be lost. Let us pray as we boldly go into the harvest and take the most Gospel to the most people in the short time we have to labor in. They are full of joy and enthusiasm despite the difficult circumstances under which they live and go to school. Please remember the works in Asia, Oceania, and the Pacific Islands in your prayers as we move forward to train, minister to, and develop new leaders. One of the exciting things when visiting our churches in Asia are the numbers of young people in our churches who are being trained or desire to be trained for the ministry. 6 Week 3 Week 3 Caribbean and Atlantic Ocean Islands The Church in the Caribbean, over the years, has been engaged in much proclamation of the gospel, and there is now a call for more practical effort to be made to see if we can connect with the people in our communities, build relationships and show them Christ through our words and actions. The mission of the contemporary church involves carrying out the whole plan of God, seeking the shalom, or peace, of the city, welfare, salvation, completeness, and total well-being of all people. Pray to the Lord for the peace of the city, for in its peace, the people of God will have peace. We serve a faithful God, and we can see his presence every day in the great revival of the global south. What God is doing in our region is certainly evidence of God s mission in the world today. That in full subscription to the vision of advancing the Kingdom, the church will agree to embark on an endeavor of developing leaders, making prayer a priority, have consistent and faithful reporting, and be untied together to make a difference in the harvest. Stephen Masilela, General Presbyter Stephen Masilela, General Presbyter Europe, Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Middle East Continue to pray for revival in the west, as well as, freedom and security in the east. We are thankful for the overseer of Russia who suffered with health issues and has had recent surgery and is fully recovered. Pray for the team leadership in Cyprus and for emerging pastors and leaders. Pray for Greece, where two key pastors suffer with cancer, and for Tony Charalambou who continues to serve as a pastor and father to other leaders and our national leadership team.
