God is with us in community, in trust, in hope. All: With neighbor and friend and with strangers also, as family-in-the-making we come together to worship and give God praise. One: May God s spirit rest upon us, as we lift our hearts to God. *Hymn, No In the Midst of New Dimensions The Faith We Sing NEW DIMENSIONS PROCLAMATION AND RESPONSE New Testament Lesson Acts 2:42-47 N.T. p. 120 The word of the Lord. 4 Communion Please approach the altar using the center aisle. You may kneel or stand at the communion rail. Please speak your name to the servers so that you may receive the bread and cup by name. We receive by intinction. (As you receive the bread, hold it until the cup is offered. Dip the bread into the cup and then eat.) When you are ready, you may return to your seat using the side aisles. If you are unable to come to the altar, please tell an usher so that we may serve you in your seat. Our communion bread is free of both gluten and egg. All people gathered to worship God are invited to receive the bread and the cup. I fear no foe, with thee at hand to bless; ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness; Where is death s sting? Where grave, thy victory? I triumph still, if thou abide with me. Hold thou thy cross before my closing eyes, shine through the gloom and point me to the skies: Heav'n's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee: in life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
