To respond to this calling, we will nurture each other in the Christian faith, we will work so that all people can experience God s love, and we will examine critically and respond prayerfully to the difficult issues that face us.

Sometimes we re kind of tired, worn down, too stuck in our routines, and life is feeling too ordinary and uninspired. It s always good to gather in a place like this, where the love, presence, and joy of God is shared, where the possibility of rebirth always persists, where bursts of resurrection life surprise and enliven us. 4 Communion Please approach the altar using the center aisle. You may kneel or stand at the communion rail. Please speak your name to the servers so that you may receive the bread and cup by name. We receive by intinction. (As you receive the bread, hold it until the cup is offered. Dip the bread into the cup and then eat.) When you are ready, you may return to your seat using the side aisles. If you are unable to come to the altar, please tell an usher so that we may serve you in your seat. Our communion bread is free of both gluten and egg. All people gathered to worship God are invited to receive the bread and the cup. 8 ANNOUNCEMENTS Spirit Wind in June We are excited to host Spirit Wind twice in June! Spirit Wind is the NWTX conference youth choir, and this year they celebrate their 40th year! Pre-Tour Rehearsals- June 4-8: We are looking for drivers June 4-8. Contact Justine for specific times. If you are interested in driving, Justine Halamicek at Concert- Sunday, June 11, at 7:00 p.m.: Join us for an evening of great music! If you would like to donate money to help fund hotel rooms, please drop it by the church office or place it in the offering plate. (Include "Spirit Wind Hotel" in the memo of your check.) Summer Act of Praise Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to offer summer Acts of Praise for our worship services. 11 ANNOUNCEMENTS Join us for Summer Choir! This summer we are excited to share a variety of music during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. In addition to featuring some of our handbell ringers in small groups, we have VBS Sunday and the musical to look forward to! Once a month we will also be offering Summer Choir. Summer Choir meets in the sanctuary during the Sunday School hour beginning at 9:15 a.m. No robes needed. We will work on the hymns for the day, as well as an anthem. Each of these will be centered around a topic. Come if you are interested in singing. Come if you are interested in the topic for that morning. Join us for one or join us for all of them! Our first Summer Choir is June 11. Topic: Harpsichord (We will have a harpsichord!) Future Summer Choir dates: July 23 & August 6 Topics: TBA Don t forget about the flower calendar! Many dates are still available! Swing by the office to sign up for a Sunday to celebrate a special day in your life. Remember, you can take the arrangement home after the service! 10
