4 Shortened Personal Testimony I was born in 1988 in Durban, South Africa. I was raised Catholic and went to all the normal Catholic functions, such as your first Holy Communion and confession etc. Throughout my primary school life this is what I identified with. I then went to High School, and being without friends I opted to make my own friends through whatever means I could. So I became one of those naughty kids at first. Through the 5 years of school I became progressively worse, getting your detentions and gardening detentions, letters of concern etc. This was from fighting and just being a real pain. I loved satanic music, not the incognito satanic music but your blatant I am evil music. This is where I used my emotions. After school I landed up in Varsity where I bonded with others like me. Eventually leading me to getting suspended from Varsity and sent to an Anger Management Psychologist. The problem was I was studying Criminology and Psychology so it was pretty easy to bogus my way through the system. Eventually I got into too much trouble and it became too much for me. So I left that Varsity and came to Kokstad, South Africa to work for a bit. Worked for my wife s parents. I attended a Baptist church there in 2008 and heard the Gospel. But never thought too much about it. Then one day all my sin suddenly became too much for me and I didn t know what to do. On the one hand I had my Psychology knowledge, the other hand I had my music which I could listen to and see how they figured life out, then I had my Catholic knowledge. I had all these options of escape but somehow I chose to follow God, or better yet, God for some reason chose me first. I don t know why or how, but I remember the day where I asked my now wife what book to start reading, and so I started reading Matthew and kept reading. That was the day I believe I was saved through believing in Christ and repenting of my sins.
