Christian Fellowship of Love Baptist Church Detroit, Michigan PASTOR JOB DESCRIPTION Christian Fellowship of Love Baptist Church of Detroit, Michigan established in 2006 is seeking a spirit filled licensed Ordained Baptist Minister to serve as a full time Pastor for our congregation. Principal Pastoral Duties: Preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Provide a balanced and healthy diet by feeding God s people with the truth of His Word. A Pastor with strong Leadership skills to grow church membership and the proficiency to resolve disagreements. A skilled counselor to assist with personal and spiritual problems. Actively participate and provide a spiritual vision to increase attendance in Sunday School, Bible Study, Prayer Meeting, Evangelism and Community Outreach. Design and implement plans to educate and involve new members in ministries of the church. Serve as spiritual leaders, instructor, and mentor to the deacons and pastoral staff. Meet regularly with ministry leaders who plan and organize ministries, activities and the finance committee. Meet monthly or as needed with Minister of Music. Establish education and programs for the development of the children, youth, seniors, and adults of the church. Officiates weddings, funerals, and, baby dedications. Administer the ordinance of the Lord s Supper; support and commit to the Church s mission statement, covenant, and By-laws Constitution. Qualifications: Clear understanding of the Baptist Church Doctrine Abilities in management and supervision The ability to communicate effectively God s word with textual scripture Must have a clear vision for the future of the church Develop relationships within the congregations that promote compassion and love Skill set in developing programs for the development of the children and youth Demonstrate community involvement Foster collaboration with all types of Christian churches Ability to work with Deacons, Trustees, and all Ministries of the church Ability to handle conflict and resolution Biblical knowledge and belief in prayer Page 1 of 6
