6 PRAYER Loving God, we need our world turned upside down. We need our illusion of self-importance and self-sufficiency to be undermined and we need a new way of being that is built on a new set of values. Humble the powerful and exalt the humble, Fill the hungry with good things, and keep the satisfied from taking even more. They will have a gift for you, and can share Information regarding our many ministries for children, youth and adults. ~ CORRECTION ~ In the December 4 bulletin, we listed names of members with 40 or more years of membership at Westminster. With deep regret, we inadvertently omitted Margaret Lounsbury and Anne Marsh, who have been loyal and very active members for over 45 years. These omissions were caused by an absence of information in the database. The entries have been corrected and the church staff expresses their sincerest apologies to Margaret and Anne. If you noticed other names that were missing from the December 4 list, please call the church office so that we can correct our records. Thank you. 6
7 Adult Education Classes This Morning Music and Meaning of Christmas Today in the Meeting Room Enjoy the beauty of music for this holy season as sung by an inspiring young girl. Jackie Evancho, only 11 years old, has brought the message of faith, hope and Christmas to millions around the world by her recordings, TV specials and the internet. Many of these people would not normally be exposed to spiritual songs. Some feel bliss and some feel tears at the pure vocals of this talented girl. Jackie is more than a singer, she is a story teller and she is on a mission. We will play a selection of videos for both the music and the lyrics. Come listen to fresh renditions of seasonal and eternal music by a little angel. POLO (Parents of Little Ones) - Today in Rodney Chapel Every Sunday this class gathers and enjoys discussion sparked by a YouTube video, an article, a book, or a guest. Topics range from nurturing faith development in our children to carving out family time in today s world. On the first Sunday (October March) of each month we host local parenting consultant Yvonne Nass. Fire on the Mountain, by Ray Vander Laan Today through February 5 DVD class and discussion in Classroom 6 Today: Not by Bread Alone (Sinai) Come along as we join Ray Vander Laan in the Holy Land, showing us where the Israelites would have gone after they left Egypt. When the Israelites left Egypt, they were finally free free from persecution, free from oppression, and free to worship their own God. But with that freedom came a new challenge learning how to live together the way God intended. In this ninth volume of Faith Lessons, discover how God taught the Israelites what it means to be part of a community that loves him, and the lessons we can begin to live out in our lives today. Thank you to all who made a 2012 pledge! If you have not yet made a 2012 pledge, please complete a card today to support continuing Westminster ministries in Remember the LORD your God, for it is God who gives you power to earn wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18 ) 7

Mary heard the angel's message: "Greetings, Mary, favored one! Do not fear, for God is with you; You will one day bear God's Son." Filled with questions, filled with wonder, She proclaimed her faith in God: "May it be as you have spoken; I'm the servant of the Lord!" 2. When she heard her cousin's greeting, Mary's heart was filled with joy, So she sang of God's great blessing Promised in her baby boy: "God has looked on me with favor, So I sing this song of praise. God has worked, the proud to scatter; Humble, hungry ones to raise." 3. Mary heard the shepherds' story, Words she treasured with delight. Then an angel gave the warning: "Flee with Jesus in the night!" Mary wondered in her anguish, What would be the pain he'd know? Fleeing then, she held him closely. One day she would let him go.
