2 sixth Sunday of easter May 10, 2015 *Please stand as you are able On worship: the ordinaries are the parts of the service that stay the same for the most part from Sunday to Sunday. I have said before that they are mainly for the children of the congregation. The parts of the service that change from Sunday to Sunday are the readings, the hymns, and the sermon. These parts are called propers. They are called that because they are proper to the particular Sunday on which they occur. While children can get something out of these parts of the service, because they change they are more for adults who are better able follow ideas from Sunday to Sunday. 6 Good morning everyone! Spring is just around the corner and it is time to Spring into Action and get signed up to run in the Spring into Action 5K and Family Fun Walk. The date has been set for May 16th, at 8:00am. You can sign up online or entry forms are on the bulletin board. All proceeds this year are going to Camp CILCA to aid the camp ministry that the LCMS offers. If you have any questions, contact Mike Sinn or Stacy Luth. Today we will hold a special offering for the Armed Forces. Use the special envelope for this offering. Put Armed Forces in memo line with your number. Next Sunday, May 17 th, we will hold a special offering for the LCMS/ Scholarship Fund. This money goes to help students. Use the Love envelope and put LCMS/Scholarship Fund in memo line. Graduation is right around the corner. We would like to acknowledge and honor our graduates. Please send us the name, school, and plans for future so we can plan this event. Thanks! Scholarship applications are now available in the church office. Applications are due by June 28 th. Please remember there is an essay portion included in the application.
