Eight Beatitudes Poster Set, The Richards, FSP, Virginia Helen P, I 2006 Pauline Books And Media Each of the eight Beatitudes, taken from Matthew 5:3-10, is presented as posing a choice between two possible behaviors: first, the way our self-focused selves might want to react in a given situation (the "me-attitude") and second, the way Jesus would want us to react (the "be-attitudes"). Halfway Herbert helps children discover that none of us can love God all the way by ourselves, but that the Holy Spirit helps us live out of our whole hearts so that we can fulfill the Great Commandment from Matthew 22:37 to love the Lord with all our heart and soul and mind. Covered are the three categories used by the Church to describe God's gifts: time, talent and treasure. The puzzles, ways to track their time spent and money donated, and other activities help children consider how their actions affect the world around them, how they can celebrate the talents they each have and then share them with others. 11 Elementary Curriculum: Goal 3, Essential Learning D Acknowledge that we should be good stewards of the world around us and we are called to spread the Good News of Christ through evangelization. God's Gifts Reproducible Activity: All Is Gift - Catholic Stewardship (Primary) BK Trout, Lisa P, I 32 pp E.T. Nedder Publishing This book can help pass along the tenants of Christian stewardship to children. Covered are the three categories used by the Church to describe God's gifts: time, talent and treasure. The puzzles, ways to track their time spent and money donated, and other activities help children consider how their actions affect the world around them, how they can celebrate the talents they each have and then share them with others. Good Things Are For Sharing: Stewardship As A Way Of Life For Children BK Morris, Jamie EC, 1993 Don Bosco Multimedia This book is designed to promote life-long stewardship and the grateful sharing of the gifts of time, talent, and treasure. Through various activities, we begin to teach children the importance of good stewardship and the joy of being a cheerful giver. It is written as a two, three-week thematic unit for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Using an outcome-based approach, each activity strengthens the desired outcome to help children become cheerful givers who grow to become life-long stewards of time, talent, and treasure. Activities are ungraded and easily adaptable to various age groups. How Do I Pray For My Friends BK Taylor, Jeannie St. John EC, P 2006 Kregel Kidzone Erik is a prayer warrior in the making. When Sofia skins her knee, Erik prays for her to feel better soon. And when Todd makes a goofy face behind Ms. Burdon's back, Erik prays that Todd would stop being so mean. With his eyes open or shut, in his thoughts or out loud, Erik prays for his friends through troubles and helps guide them on their way to heaven. Power Of Your Smile, The This video, with minimal words or speech, shows the power of a smile to witness, evangelize, and show the love of Jesus. Anyone working on improving hospitality may benefit from this video. Sharing The Gospel pp. 32 pp., S, YA, A 4 min YouTube / The Amazing Cat Channel J, S 6 min YouTube / Outside Da Box Production It is routine for us to talk about so many different things like movies, concerts, people and food; but how often do we share the message of Jesus Christ with those around us? View insight and inspiration, and some wise advice from St. Paul about sharing and living the faith. Small Things With Great Love J, S 2 min YouTube / Outside Da Box Production This video offers encouragement to live the Gospel in simple, easy ways that reflect the love of Christ so that we can live up to Mother Theresa's call to do small things with great love. StoryBag: Many Fish Edwards, Angie EC, P 2011 StoryBags.co.uk StoryBags are a cloth version of a book. The bags turn inside out over and over again revealing a new fabric design with each turn that illustrates part of a story. Each StoryBag comes with a script to aid you with the storytelling and some suggested activities. Many Fish - This bag tells the story from John's gospel about the disciples and the large catch of fish. For a demonstration on using StoryBags, go to Ten Commandments For Today, The J, S, YA, A 5 min YouTube Through text and images with background music, this video takes a serious look at the seventh commandment which reminds us not to steal. It stresses the ways in which society breaks this commandment through unjust labor practices, greed and consumerism, treatment of the poor and vulnerable of our society, and lack of good stewardship practices. We Believe: God Gives Us Light EC 2015 Sadlier Ventriloquist Randy J. Malick and Rupert the Bird III talk about the importance of God's gift of light. The light from the sun, moon, and stars helps us to see God's goodness all around us. By the way we live, we must try to help others see God's goodness and light too! (From: Sadlier's We Believe with Project Disciple Chapter Introduction Videos: Grade K, Chapter 2) 2 min.
