4 America For Christ Offering 2016 Discipleship: Becoming More Like Christ This offering supports our ABC Regional and National Home Missions Our church s goal is $1200. Donations to date: $100. Please give generously. Envelopes are in the pew pockets. There will be an ABWM meeting following Sunday school (12:15) with a light lunch provided. Kids are welcome for lunch, and entertainment will be provided for them during the meeting. We ll be making plans for the upcoming year and hope to identify some needs in our church, community and even the world that we might be able to help with. We ll also be discussing re-organization ideas, get information on the NYS ABWM Convention, and of course review the plans for the upcoming Spring Market. NY Connects Seminar Cuba First Baptist will be hosting the Allegany Office of the Aging seminar on the benefits available through the NY Connects program. Any interested persons are invited to gather in the Fellowship Hall at 1pm on Thursday, Feb. 25 th. This should prove to be very educational for seniors and caregivers to investigate services of long term care. That would be any service that helps keep individuals at home. The presentation will be given by Sarah Luckey from the Allegany County Office of the Aging. Take home brochures will be available and there will be plenty of time for questions and answers. The public is invited to take advantage of this opportunity to assist in planning the lives and the futures in our community. NO AUDITION NECESSARY! Brush off that magic trick, lace up the dancing shoes, get out the music or grab your friends and make up an act! It s time for the annual Talent Show at Cuba First Baptist! On Feb 28 th, we ll all join together for a meal at 5pm and then follow that with a delightful time of sharing our talents and gifts. We ll be having sloppy joes for dinner. Guests are asked to bring one of the following: 1. A salad 2. A vegetable or cheese dish 3. A dessert. Plates, silverware, and sloppy joes will be provided. Please remember. You don t need to bring enough to feed every single person. We d all explode! Then by 6pm, we ll be ready to begin the fun. Any and all acts are welcome. Here s your chance to croon that tune, share that original poem, dust off the musical instrument in your closet or portion out your hidden talents. All ages are welcome to participate. Acts should be kept to 5-10 minutes to allow everyone to share. *****THERE ARE TWO SIGN UP SHEETS in the court ONE for attending the meal SECOND for providing talent.
