3 January 13, 2019 Colorado Freedom Church Scott Maxon Vision 2019 Our Purpose: Freedom Church exists to glorify God by making and growing more followers of Jesus Christ. Great Commandment (Worship): Matthew 22:36-40 Great Commission (Evangelism and Discipleship): Matthew 28:18-20 Glorify God: The Westminster Catechism: Man s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. Philippians 2:12-13: Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. SDG = Soli Deo Gloria = Glory to God alone. Glorify simply means To praise; to magnify and honor in worship; to ascribe honor to, in thought or words. (1828) Why do we glorify God with everything we have and are? -Because He is worth it. Deuteronomy 6:5: And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. ; 1 Corinthians 6:20: for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. -Because He created us. Isaiah 43:7: Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them. How do we honor God? 1 Corinthians 10:31: So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. ; Colossians 3:23: Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Make Disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) God converts, we converse. Once someone puts their trust in Christ and accept His free gift of grace/forgiveness, we are to help them (and us) mature in our faith.

4 Grow Disciples Disciple: Learner, follower Colossians 1:28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. This is why it is so important to be involved and committed to a local church. Acts 2:42-47 of Jesus Christ. John 15:1-4. How do we follow Christ? Ephesians 5:1: Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Matthew 28:18-19a Community World Kids & Youth Matthew 19:14: Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Global Outreach Acts 1:8: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

5 2019 Influence community 1) accepting Christ as a result of our ministries. Romans 10:14-15: But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news! 1 Peter 3:15-16a: Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. 2) committing to the local church 3) growing in their faith 4) going into the community 5) living intentionally on mission with joy Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5) 6) giving sacrificially 7) inviting 8) using spiritual gifts Youth ministry & Kids Partnership Baptisms I see a healthy, safe, fun, growing church that LOVES GOD AND LOVES PEOPLE. We are here to do God s work. Get to it.
