"The mission of Roncalli High School is to educate in the Catholic traditions of spiritual growth, life-long service, and academic excellence." 40 Days for ife- Prayer Walk (Choose your date) 40 Days for ife is a national pro-life group that walks during the months of October and November to help bring an end to abortion. The 40 Days for ife group marches around the Manitowoc Planned Parenthood clinic on Calumet venue. Times and dates of Marching are flexible and work with your schedule. Please contact Mr. Geiger or a member of Roncalli s ife Guards for some more information. Y O U T H T Saint Vincent de Paul Christmas Set-Up (Saturday, Oct. 8 th & Oct. 15 th ) Christmas is just around the corner and Saint Vincent de Paul needs your help to get ready! We are looking for about 8 students, each Saturday from 9am 12noon, to help set-up the store with all of its Christmas products! From building Christmas trees to pricing Christmas decorations to dressing manikins in Christmas outfits there is something for everyone so grab a friend and sign up! Yes, I can help turn St. Vinne s into a Winter Wonderland on October 8 th! Yes, I can help turn St. Vinne s into a small North Pole on October 15 th! 1

2 eaf Raking Bonanza (Friday, October 28 th and Friday, November 4 th ) It s FINY here! nd we need your help! We need volunteers to help the elderly and homebound in our community. Grab your own rakes and work gloves and get ready to do some raking! On Friday, October 28 th students who help out with eaf Raking will leave campus at about 2:30PM and work until about 5:00PM, and Friday, November 4 th is a half day, so students will report to their leaf raking site by 12:30 and work until 2:30. t that time you will receive the addresses throughout Manitowoc and Two Rivers and be broken up into work groups. This is a great project to do with your family, so make sure you invite them! You can work one day or both days! Yes, sign me up for Friday, October 28 th at 2:30 5:00 Yes, sign me up for Friday, November 4 th at 12:30 2:30 Serra Club Rummage Sale (Saturday, October 22 nd ) The Serra Club supports and prays for vocations in our local churches and they need your help cleaning up their annual rummage sale. They are looking for students to help clean up at the Grand ve. Worship Site (1416 Grand ve. Manitowoc) from 1:30-3:00pm on Saturday, October 22nd. 3 Saint Vincent de Paul Store (Every Saturday) The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is dedicated to assisting those in need with person-to-person care. The Saint Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Manitowoc serves Manitowoc County by supporting members in the community with goods and services they might not otherwise have available to them. end a hand to this fantastic outreach program by volunteering for three hours on Saturday mornings. From cleaning shelves to sorting new donations, this event takes place each Saturday from 9 am 12 pm. 11 Yes, I will volunteer on Oct. 4 Yes, I will volunteer on Oct. 18 Yes, I will volunteer on Oct. Monday s with Mary (Every Monday) Do you have trouble finding a few minutes in the day to pray? That should be no problem on Mondays. t the beginning of 1 st and 2 nd lunch, join Mr. Geiger and your fellow students in the Chapel to pray a decade of the Rosary before getting in the lunch line. This is a student led spiritual opportunity that only takes a few minutes and allows you plenty of time to get your lunch and eat. This is the perfect way to start your week! Chaplet of Divine Mercy (Before Both unches Every Day Tues.- Fri.) ent is a time that calls us to prepare for Christ s Death and Glorious Resurrection by prayer, fasting and service. Join us in the Chapel every Thursday during ent during dvisory period to learn about and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. This powerful prayer seeks God s mercy and forgiveness! Everyone is welcome & prayer cards are available! 3

4 Reconciliation & doration with Father Michael (Every Tuesday) The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a powerful spiritual weapon that helps us to grow closer to the Heart of Christ. Father Michael Warden has made himself available every Tuesday from 2:40 3:30 in the chapel to offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This year we will also be doing Eucharistic doration on alternating Tuesdays, led by Father Michael. This is a great chance to unwind and spend some quiet time with our ord in the Blessed Sacrament. Don t miss this great and convenient opportunity to grow in your faith! S I N iturgy Ministry (ll-school Masses throughout the School Year) Every month Roncalli has an all-school Mass and every month we are looking for people to help make that Mass possible. If you are interested in helping at all-school Masses throughout the year (even if it s only once!), just check the box(es) below or talk to Mr. Geiger. You do not need to have previous experience; all you need is a desire to serve. St. Francis School Food Fair Set-Up (Friday, November 4 th ) We are looking for teens who are able to help set up for the Food Fair on Friday, November 4 th from 12:00-4:00. This is an early dismissal day, so stay and help out if you can. unch will be provided for those who volunteer! Yes, I can help set up. Coat Check for Food Fair (Saturday, November 5 th ) We are looking for students to help staff the Food Fair Coat Check for the evening of Saturday, November 5 th. There will be two shifts available, stay for one or both! Food and beverages will be provided for the evening.
