Food Pantries There is a mobile food pantry outside St. Peter Church on Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. You need proof of residence to take advantage of the pantry. If you are in need of food, the parish food pantry is open on Tuesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. Go to the back of 145 Clinton Avenue and someone will assist you. Project Hospitality offers a meal every Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Assumption Church in Assumption Hall. All are welcome. Separated & Divorced Support Group This Support Group meets on the 2 nd and 4 th Fridays of each month. The next meeting will be on Friday, June 24th at 7:30 p.m. at 15 Webster Avenue. (Please note new location.) Please call should you wish to join the group. The facilitator will return your call. Memorial Mass June 18, 2016 Matthew s Funeral Home is sponsoring a Memorial Mass for the repose of the souls who funerals they handled during the past year. Our Lady of Pity parish at 1616 Richmond Avenue will be hosting the Mass. The Mass will be celebrated on June 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. All are welcome. Coffee and Cake at St. Peter s Church Please note for the weekends of July and August, beginning July 3rd, there will be no coffee and cake after the Noon Mass. We will resume this fellowship in September.

The combination of both shows the relationship between our body and soul. Society of St. Vincent de Paul Gives Back For each care, truck or van, running or not, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will give back to our church $50/$100 per vehicle. Maybe you don t have a vehicle, but a family member, friend or neighbor has an old or neglected vehicle in their driveway that they would like to dispose of. Call the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Our parish has benefitted more than once from this program. Staten Island Council of Churches November 12, 2016 On Saturday, November 12th, the Council of Churches will host a bus trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for a day of fun and fellowship. The schedule includes: Sight and Sound Theatre production of Samson An Amish meal at Hershey Farms Restaurant A visit to Kitchen Kettle Village Price includes charter bus fare and all events listed above. Bus will depart from Zion Lutheran Church, 505 Watchogue Road at 8 a.m. and return at 9 p.m. Payment is due no later than September 1st. $145 for adults. Children under 12 are $89. Deposits of $50 for an adult and $30 for a child are due June 30. These future use graves will be limited to the graves available in Section R only (at the intersection of Tyler Avenue & Clove Road. Other sections of the cemetery will still be available for the purchase of immediate need of burial space. For individuals who prefer cremation, St. Peter s Cemetery also offers cremation niches that can hold two standard sized urns. The niches are available in St. Peter s Columbaria Garden for pre-need or immediate need. For more information, please call the cemetery office at , Monday through Friday. Let us hear, as if addressed to each one of us, the words that you spoke to the Samaritan woman: If you knew the gift of God! You are the visible face of the invisible Father, of the God who manifests his power above all by forgiveness and mercy: let the Church be your visible face in the world, its Lord risen and glorified. You willed that your ministers would also be clothed in weakness in order that they may feel compassion for those in ignorance and error: let everyone who approaches them feel sought after, loved, and forgiven by God. Send your Spirit and consecrate every one of us with its anointing, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a year of grace from the Lord, and your Church, with renewed enthusiasm, may bring good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to captives and the oppressed, and restore sight to the blind.
