4 MINISTRY OF MUSIC Mary Did You Know... Choir School, Chamber Choir, Clare Bassett, ballerina Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water? Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters? Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? This Child that you delivered, will soon deliver you. Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to the blind man? Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with His hand? Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod, and when you kiss your little baby, you ve kissed the face of God? Oh Mary did you know? The blind will see. The deaf will hear. The dead will live again. The lame will leap. The dumb will speak. The praises of the Lamb. Oh Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation? Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations? Did you know that your baby boy is heaven s perfect Lamb? And the sleeping Child you re holding is the great I Am? 5 No. 44 It Came upon the Midnight Clear (Children in all departments will leave for their Sunday School classes via the northeast stairs. Parents accompanying children please return to your pews via the southeast stairs.) SCRIPTURE Luke 1: Joanne Leatch Then his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke this prophecy: Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has looked favorably on his people and redeemed them. He has raised up a mighty savior for us in the house of his servant David, as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old, that we would be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us. Thus he has shown the mercy promised to our ancestors, and has remembered his holy covenant, the oath that he swore to our ancestor Abraham, to grant us that we, being rescued from the hands of our enemies, might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the forgiveness of their sins. By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. The child grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in the wilderness until the day he appeared publicly to Israel. MEDITATION A song for those in need The Rev.
