Based on Dante s writings, the seven deadly sins correspond to the seven levels of Dante s Mt. Purgatory. Pride, envy, anger, sloth, gluttony, avarice, and lust are all presented as patterns of dysfunction within us that lead to unhappiness. Bishop Barron shows us how to counteract these seven sinful with the seven lively virtues." The seven lively virtues offer antidotes to each sin and help set us on the right path to healing and happiness. Timothy Gallagher and small group dialogue-you will grow to understand St. Ignatius Rules for Discernment and how their insights are invaluable for our spiritual growth today. By integrating the Rules and the experience of contemporary people, Fr. Gallagher shows the precision, clarity, and insight of these Rules. This circle is for all who desire greater awareness of God's action in their daily spiritual lives, and is valuable for all.
