Today is one of those special days so plan to stay all day and participate in worship and fellowship. There are many Sabbath School classes to choose from that begin at 9:30. Following Sabbath School, we have a special Worship Service as one of God s children has chosen to give her life to Jesus and be baptized today. Please plan to enjoy the afternoon activities as well which include a delicious fellowship meal & cookie exchange along with a visit to our neighboring assisted living center (Cedarbrook). To conclude our evening together, we would love to see you at the Agapé Feast and Communion which will begin at 6 p.m. May God bless you as we worship Him today. We invite you to sit with your family, friends and guests, and feel free to relax and enjoy a second hot drink and cookies because you won't be rushed to help put away table and chairs, as David Toppenberg and the Pathfinders, have graciously agreed to do that task Sunday morning before their meeting. Thank YOU! A standing huge Thank You, as well goes out to Jeremy Bayer and the MJA Students, for always setting up the tables and chairs to help the hosts each potluck. We hope you plan on relaxing for a while and visiting with your church family, as we enjoy this special Christmas Season. Gifting Opportunities Adventist Community Services Offering Today. Adventist Community Services is an outreach ministry for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the North American Division. ACS serves communities by providing assistance to people affected by flooding, fire, and other disasters to touch one heart and transform our communities. Christmas is coming soon and the Metro Church is helping the children of the Methodist Children s Home Society with some warm gifts this holiday season. The boys are in need of NEW snow pants, hats, gloves, scarfs, and socks. The boys are between 5-17 years old. Please bring your new items and place them on the tree at church. Let s fill the tree with warm love for them this Christmas. Items are being collected through December 15. Thank you for your help with this project. Debbie Modetz, Adventist Community Services Director MJA UPDATES Metro Jr Academy is looking for the following individuals: A substitute teacher to fill in when one of our teachers calls in sick or needs to be away at a conference, etc. We are also looking for an individual to do about an hour of janitorial work each day consisting of cleaning the school restrooms. This position will start the first of the new year. If you are interested in either position or have questions, please contact our Principal, Jill Simon Pizza Kit Fundraiser at MJA. It's time for you, your friends, and your family to stock up with Little Caesars Pizza Kits and Cookie Dough! Have them on hand for quick dinners, parties or entertaining! Our goal is to order 100 kits by Dec. 10. The school earns cash on every kit sold which helps defray mounting operating costs. You can order with a student, teacher, or myself. Heidi Anderson (734) Fruit Orders for MJA Cancelled: We are unfortunately cancelling the school fruit sales program for this year due to some companies getting out of the business and the high cost of shipping which would make the cost of the fruit too high. We apologize to our loyal customers and hope to find a solution for next year. From your Treasurer Devotional books are now available to order. Please refer to the 2019 Devotional Book Insert for selections and submit your orders by December 15 to receive before the New Year. 4 Housekeeping Restroom Renovations are continuing around the church. The main men's room is under renovation and will be closed until completed. Men, we ask you to please use the baptismal changing restrooms and the family restroom off the east side of the foyer. Thank you for being patient while we complete this process. Please check your pew and return Bibles, hymnals and pens to their proper places on the backs of the pew in front of you. Pick up any trash and place in the waste basket as you gather your personal belongings. If you use other areas in the church, please tidy your area before leaving as well. Thank you for your help in keeping God s house in order. Metro Members Mailboxes are located in the fellowship hall. Please check your boxes each week.
