Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Luke 24:44-47 The spreading of the Good News about Jesus began from Jerusalem. Jesus has come to bring His forgiveness. Jesus sends out this forgiveness to the ends of the earth. Jesus gives His disciples a mission and His word to proclaim. This forgiveness of Christ has come to us, but it does not stay with us. We take this forgiveness and share it with those around us. The goal of the church is to take Christ s forgiveness and share it around the world. Thank you for supporting The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in sending me overseas to tell the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Kolbs are back in the USA! 2 Prayer Requests For safety, wisdom, and patience as we travel across the United States networking and raising the needed funds so that we can return to the field Kristie s new insulin pump will work (this is the 4th one in 2 years) Thanksgiving for Pastor Ferry who accepted the call to serve as Regional Director of Asia Thanksgiving for all our supporters who help share the Gospel to all nations HELP WANTED We need your ongoing prayers and we are needing financial support! We are looking for congregations to partner with us in ministry in Asia. To those who are our TIM partners in mission- THANK YOU! Through your faithful and continual support, the Lord is blessing His work in Asia. The ministry we have been called to do requires a strong network to keep us in the field. We need individuals and congregations to financially support us and to pray for us. Please consider as a congregation, supporting us to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in Asia. The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, Together In Mission program (TIM), enables congregations to support a specific missionary. What does it mean to be a TIM congregation? A TIM congregation supports a specific missionary or two by typically making a one-year financial, renewable commitment. Also praying and encouraging your missionary partner. We send out newsletters regularly updating you on the ministry you are supporting. How do you become a TIM congregation? The current model used by synod to send missionaries into the field requires each missionary to raise the necessary funds to live and do ministry where they are called. Missionaries rely on God using individuals and congregations to generously offer their financial support so working together, as a body of believers, we can strive to go to all nations proclaiming repentance and forgiveness. Without the needed funds, missionaries cannot be deployed, or may not be able to remain in the filed in the filed until the needed funds are raised. Your gifts help to sustain the ministry.
