2 What is Faith Promise? Faith Promise is a commitment by you made to God. It is based on faith that God will provide the resources for use in worldwide evangelism. Each year, CrossRoads takes time to pray, and ask God how He will use our willing heart to take His name around the world. Where Does the Money Go? Designate on a Faith Promise Card which missions you wish to support. Any amount given beyond what is designated will be distributed by the Missions Team to fulfill the Faith Promise purpose. Faith Promise Missions Partnership Once you decide to participate in Faith Promise, you are ready to ask God what amount you should trust Him for that will enable you to give to fulfill your promise. This gift should be over and above your regular tithes and offerings. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly, nor under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (NIV) You will become personally interested as the Bible states in Matthew 6:21, For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (NIV)

3 From the Missions Committee The first three missions listed total $3,600 of monthly support. We are committed to honoring the support we have pledged to them, so it is very important that money is designated for these missions. Undesignated monthly support is important, too, as we also use undesignated money to cover the promised support of these three missions. The missions listed after these first three are ones we support only if we receive money designated to them. If no money is designated, then they receive nothing from CrossRoads Christian Church. It is important that money is designated to these missions as well. The Missions Committee is pleased with the missions we support. 5 Missions that receive dedicated monthly support from CrossRoads Christian Church G.O. Ministries Deloris Norman $1,800 per month G.O. Ministries is based in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. They partner with established local churches and provide support, training, and help plant new churches. Through their GO Kids program, they provide education, school supplies, and hot meals to the poor children of the island. Finally, they provide medical assistance and outreach to the people of the Dominican Republic. They do this through their medical clinic in Santiago and through their mobile clinics which travel in poor rural areas of the island to provide medical aid. This last area is where our donations go, providing support for Deloris Norman.

6 Eastern Dominican Christian Mission $1,000 per month Eastern Dominican Christian Mission exists to help fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ by making disciples and forming those disciples into congregations. Our goal is to plant biblically based churches that are nationally led (Dominican) with the intent of becoming self-sufficient, independent of outside monies and leadership. We believe the local church (Christians) is the light of the world and is the primary instrument used by God to redeem His people. We also see the positive impact the local church has on the surrounding community transforming it from the inside-out. Therefore, we primarily assist national leadership in the founding and growing of the local church. Eastern Dominican Christian Mission was founded by Rick and Suzanne York in 2003 with the primary goal of planting self-sustaining Christian Churches in the eastern part of the country. EDCM began its ministry by partnering with Benito and Rosa Martinez and the existing congregation in La Romana (LRM). Rick and Suzanne York helped with the organization of the LRM congregation and helped it move forward. As the LRM congregation matured and moved down the road to self-sufficiency, EDCM began planting other churches throughout the eastern part of the country.

8 Other Missions Supported by CrossRoads Christian Church Hooves of Hope is dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the use of horses throughout the Vermilion County area. When kids and families arrive at Hooves of Hope, they encounter loving adults who mentor and pray for each individual that comes to the ranch. They participate in a variety of activities that seek to strengthen the family by teaching critical components for improving family relationships. The kids and families partake in creative alternative programs that strive to impart life lessons to assist in achieving success in the home, school and community.

9 Nehemiah Ministries Kent Paris Nehemiah Ministries provides Christian pastoral counseling for people struggling with sexual brokenness issues. Nehemiah Ministries also has speaking ministry, and equipping ministry to instruct Christians how to provide a loving challenge to the gay lifestyle. In today s world, we face an overwhelming propaganda campaign trying to pull us away from our Christian beliefs. It is important to have a ministry like Kent s to fight this propaganda. Mid-India Church Partners, Inc. is dedicated to spreading the gospel of Christ throughout India. Their primary purpose is to promote and foster growth through church planting, evangelist training and caring for persecuted children. Their mission entails more than just an invitation to follow Jesus, it is a call to be saved, make disciples of all nations, to boldly proclaim Christ, and teach through discipleship.

10 JFMC began in August 2009 with the Mission Statement to: -Rebuild lives and restore dignity to our community through Jesus Christ. -Honor God by providing clothing to those who are in need of clothing. -Offer glory and praise to God for the ability to serve him through the clothing ministry. -Bring the message of hope to those who believe all hope is gone. -Restore and fill up the empty places with the love of Jesus Christ. -Listen with a loving heart and generous spirit to all people, no matter the circumstances. CrossRoads Benevolence Fund To many when you think of this mission, you think of the food pantry. While that is an important and the most visible part, the Benevolence Fund is much more. The CrossRoads Benevolence Fund is about helping people whatever their need is, both within the congregation and in the community. Many times people need lodging for the night. On occasion someone might need help with rent, utilities, gasoline or other basic needs. Through the Benevolence Fund, we as a congregation do what Jesus asks of us, to look out for the least of his creation or those in a time of need.

11 CrossRoads Bible College Scholarship Fund CrossRoads Bible College Scholarship Fund is set up to provide a $ scholarship per semester to any member who is a full time student at any of the colleges and universities affiliated with the Christian churches and churches of Christ. Students are required to maintain a "C" average to continue to receive support. CrossRoads Short-Term Mission Fund The Missions Ministry pays toward Missions Ministry sponsored, short-term missions trips for regular attendees of CrossRoads Christian Church. Trip leaders are to present a request to the Missions Team and the trip will be evaluated as to our support. People who desire to go on such trip will be evaluated by the leaders of the trip as to their ability to participate in the work to be done.

CrossRoads Helping Hands Ministry Helping Hands started in 2011 as a group of ladies meeting Mondays here at CrossRoads to make items for those in need.

For local nursing homes they make lap robes, wheelchair and walker bags, and adult bibs. For the Women s Care Clinic, they make baby quilts, baby bibs, burp cloths, baby booties, sweaters, and hats.

12 CrossRoads Helping Hands Ministry Helping Hands started in 2011 as a group of ladies meeting Mondays here at CrossRoads to make items for those in need. They make dresses, shorts, cool ties, shopping bags and sewing kits that they send to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. For local nursing homes they make lap robes, wheelchair and walker bags, and adult bibs. For the Women s Care Clinic, they make baby quilts, baby bibs, burp cloths, baby booties, sweaters, and hats. For OSF Hospital they make baby blankets and crochet baby hats. For CrossPoint at the Y, (formerly YWCA) they make twin size blankets and slippers. In the past, they have sewn socks for Toys for Tots and made baby blankets and hats for Riley Children s Hospital. Since 2011, they have made and distributed over 6400 items to those in need. Helping Hands Sewing Ministry appreciates financial donations or gifts of fabric and sewing supplies. CrossRoads Youth Camp & Youth Seminar Fund At CrossRoads, we pay for any of our youth who are regular attendees to go to one summer camp each year. Most choose to go to either Christ in Youth (CIY) or Hanging Rock Christian Assembly. While some of this comes from donations to our camp fund, most comes from the general budget of our Missions which is fully funded by Faith Promises.

13 FAME is sending help and hope in the name of Jesus through medical evangelism. FAME does that by taking Jesus to the unreached and underserved by integrating spiritual and physical healing. They also provide medical supplies and facilities for the developing world and partner with missionaries and indigenous churches in medical evangelism. Good News Production International GNPI s goal is to spread the Gospel of Christ throughout the world by producing culturally relevant media designed for each specific culture. One way they do that is through Project Nomad. Through this program, GNPI trains a team of local nationals how to make effective Christian videos in their country for their people. Another is through the use of Solar Kits. A Solar Kit uses the power of the sun to charge a battery that runs a projector which will tell the story of Christ. Through Solar Kits, the Gospel of Christ can be shared anywhere in the world by media.

14 Hanging Rock Christian Assembly Hanging Rock Christian Assembly, Inc. is a Christian Camp & Retreat Center that provides opportunities for Churches, Individuals, Families, and Communities to establish and strengthen their relationship with Christ. Hanging Rock is supported by 70 Churches of Christ and Christian Churches in west-central Indiana and east-central Illinois. Established in 1946, Hanging Rock has provided 71 years of Christian Camping and Retreats. Her House is a non-profit organization that will be a refuge for displaced or homeless pregnant women 18 years of age and older. The House is specifically designed to: -Assist women in the path of independence. -Encourage confidence in child-raising. -Exemplify the need for a Savior. -Provide an environment for mother and child to bond. -Enhance self-esteem by developing a sense of acceptance and self-worth.

Illini Christian Ministries (ICM) Illini Christian Ministries provides family care through their Safe Families and Parenting Partners programs as well as adoption and counseling services.

These programs allow families in crisis to place their children in loving Christian Homes instead of child welfare custody. This allows biological parents to maintain custody of their children while they seek help and be reunited with their children when they are able to care for them again. Jireh India Missions Jireh India Missions is a 501(c)3 organization that shares the good news of Jesus Christ with those who have never heard His name. We strive to bring aid to the needy, hope to the hopeless, rest to the weary and a Father to the fatherless.

16 North Burma Christian Mission The outreach of NBCM since 1921 has resulted in over 2000 churches planted in China, Burma, Thailand, and other SE Asia countries. Evangelism, Church Planting and Discipleship Training are foundational in this ministry, and has produced committed national preachers and teachers who partner with them to spread the Gospel and strengthen the churches in places beyond their reach. Freedom Films Productions Freedom Films Productions (FFP) is the multi-media department of NBCM. Video and audio materials have become the way most of the world now communicates. Even remote tribes in SE Asia have internet and cell phones. Communicating God's truths using visual means can reach both Christian and non-christians. Statistics show that 80% of all information acquisition is visual. This makes visual media a powerful and effective tool to spread the Gospel.

17 Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child is a project of the international relief organization, Samaritan s Purse. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S. Restoration House Ministries Restoration House Ministries' goal is to transform the spiritual landscape of New England through education, training and church planting. Since 1999, Restoration House Ministries has assisted in the birth of 16 new churches in New England. New England contains three of the four most densely populated states, but is the least religious region of the United States.

18 TCM Training Christians for Ministry in Europe & Central Asia TCM provides training for missionaries serving in Europe and Central Asia. They also provide benevolence for Christians in these areas. For more than 50 years TCM has been performing an important mission by spreading the Gospel in countries first under communist rule and now struggling economically in its aftermath. They are also now ministering into Muslim countries in the middle east. Their focus is on training nationals who return to their native countries to serve Christ, many for a lifetime. The mission statement of WBGL is sharing hope in Jesus, one song, one conversation, one heart at a time. WBGL wants to be a source of encouragement through uplifting, Christ-centered music and programs and through friendship as you invite them into your car, home, or workplace. The team takes their mission seriously. Their prayer is, it's up to God; they work as if it's up to them. WBGL strives to maintain the highest of standards of integrity. WBGL is about loving God and loving people! With studios in Champaign, IL, WBGL is owned and operated by the Illinois Bible Institute, the educational corporation of the Illinois District Council of the Assemblies of God. The corporate headquarters are located at Lake Williamson Christian Center. WBGL is pleased to be a member of the New Life Media Network, a division of the Illinois District Council of the Assemblies of God. WBGL and sister station WCIC cover most of Illinois, western Indiana, and Northeast Missouri.

19 Women's Care Clinic of Danville is celebrating 25 years as an arm of the local church, reaching out with hope in crisis and support for Thriving, Abundant Life. They provide pregnancy decision and options counseling, pregnancy testing and ultrasound, adoption plan assistance, community referrals, material assistance to young families, parenting education for dads and moms, and post-abortion healing. Women s Care Clinic exists to protect life and to promote Christcentered families, applying the gospel of Jesus Christ to crisis pregnancy situations and seeking to create a bridge to local church families for the families they serve.
