Let us worship God. +HYMN Pentecost Hymn NATIONAL HYMN (Please see announcements insert.) WELCOME, JOYS, CONCERNS & INVITATIONS MINUTE FOR MISSION - BLANKET SUNDAY PRAYER OF CONFESSION (together) Almighty God, you poured your Spirit on the gathered disciples, creating bold tongues, open ears, and a new community of faith. We confess that we resist the force of your Spirit among us. We do not always listen for your word of grace. We do not often speak the good news of your love. Our life together does not show us to be a people made one in Christ. Forgive us, we pray. Transform our timid lives by the power of your Spirit, and fill us with a flaming desire to be your faithful people. Burn away our apathy, and inscribe on our hearts your vision of a world in which all the peoples of the earth know your justice, peace and mercy; in the power of your Holy Spirit we pray. Amen.
