5 Holy Week Services The West Memphis/Marion Ministerial Fellowship will be hosting the traditional Holy Week services beginning Monday, April 13 and continuing through Friday, April 18. Each service will begin at noon with a brief worship service followed by a light lunch. These services are offered for the purpose of inviting Christians from various churches and denominations to unite in worship around the common theme of Christ's passion. We are reminded that what unites us is far deeper than that which divides us. The schedule, texts and guests preachers are as follows: Monday, April 14 at Marion United Methodist Church, Rev. Frederick Anthony of Old St. Paul Baptist Church preaching on John You are invited attend as many of these services as possible for your own spiritual growth and for the purpose of fostering Christian unity. Maundy Thursday Service Maundy Thursday, named from the Latin "mandatum" which means command, is a sacred commemoration of the Lord's Last Supper with his disciples. We are reminded that Jesus commanded his disciples to love one another, and to continue to observe this feast as the Lord's Supper until his return. Our Maundy Thursday service will be on Thursday, April 17 at 6:30. We urge you to join us for this celebration of our Lord's Last Supper with his disciples. Meet the Methodists!!! If you are new to our church, or are interested in knowing more about the "people called Methodist," or if you are interested in becoming a member of Marion United Methodist Church, you are cordially invited to a "Meet the Methodists!!!" short series led by our pastor, Tom Letchworth. The first meeting will be on Sunday, April 27 at 9:30. The meetings will be upstairs in the "Head, Heart, Hand" classroom, and will meet for three weeks, concluding on May 11. If you would like to place one or more in honor of or in memory of a loved one, please fill out this form and drop it in the offering plate or return it to the church office with a check for $15.75 for each lily.
