Învăţătura despre Biserică The Teaching about the Church În Crezul neceo-constantinopolitan, spunem: (Cred) într -una, sfântă, sobornicească şi apostolicească Biserică. Credem aşa pentru că Biserica este esenţială pentru viaţa noastră în Hristos. Ea ne dă viaţă spirituală şi ne susţine pe calea mântuirii. De aceea, o numim mama noastră duhovnicească (Galateni 4,26). Sf. Ciprian scria că acela care nu are pe Dumnezeu drept Tată, nu poate avea Biserica drept mamă. In the niceene creed we say: (I believe in) one, holy, catholic, apostolic church. We believe so because the Church is essential to our life in Christ. She gives us spiritual life and sustains us on the road to salvation. For this reason we call her our spiritual mother (Gal. 4,26). St. Cyprian wrote that he who does not have God as Father, cannot have the Church for his mother. St. Paul teaches that the Church is the pillar and foundation of the truth and the body of Christ (Ef. 1,22-23). Likewise, that she is eternal and that the gates of hades will not overcome her (Mt. 16,18). Her invisible head is Christ, while the Bishop is her visible head (F.A. 20,28). All those who are baptized, living and dead, are a part of her. The living ones make the struggling Church and those who are dead, the triumphant Church. Sf. KITCHEN EQUIPMENT NEEDS If in the last bulletin we asked for a steamer, last weekend the dishwasher from Social Hall kitchen stopped working. Also, the stoves unit needs to be replaced, as the expenses of fixing it are too high. Because we have to prioritize the needs, in order to make the kitchen functionable, we have to have the dishwasher and the stove unit replaced first. Our kitchen equipment is 30+ years of functionability. We are grateful that they lasted for so long, but now it is the time to have them replaced. If each member (not family!) donates at least $50, we will be able to cover the costs to purchase and install the equipment. Think of these needs as they are in your own home; how many times in 30 years have you changed any of the appliances? Lets make a common effort to renew the kitchen and make it functionable again, as we all need it at some point! Thank you, in advance! *** NEVOI ALE BUCĂTĂRIEI Dacă în ultimul buletin am solicitat donații pentru cuptorul cu aburi, săptămâna trecută mașina de spălat vase din bucătăria sălii sociale s-a defectat. De asemenea, aragazele de gătit trebuiesc să fie înlocuite în curând, deoarece cheltuielile de reparații sunt ridicate. Deoarece trebuie să prioritizăm nevoile, pentru a face bucătăria funcționabilă, primele aparaturi care trebuiesc înlocuite sunt mașina de spălat vase și aragazele de gătit. Echipamentul bucătăriei noastre este de 30+ ani de funcționare. Suntem foarte mulțumiți că a ținut atât de mult, dar acum a venit timpul să fie înlocuite. Dacă fiecare membru (nu familie!) donează cel puțin $50, vom putea să acoperim costurile pentru achiziționarea și instalarea acestor unități. Gândiți-vă la aceste nevoi ca la propria dvs. casă; de câte ori în 30 de ani ați schimbat aparatele de gătit sau alte lucruri necesare în bucătărie? Haideți să facem un efort comun pentru a reînnoi bucătăria și pentru a o face din nou funcțională, pentru că, la un moment dat, toți avem nevoie de ea! Vă mulțumim, în avans!
