Protopresbyter Ronald Hazuda and +Fr William George. Fr. Hazuda, retired pastor of St. Nichoas in Erie, PA passed after a serious illness and Fr. George, pastor of SS. Peter and Paul in Rockaway, NJ, died following an accident enroute to Camp Nazareth for this weekend s Panis retreat. The Priests Parastas services for Fr. Ronald will be Wednesday evening at 7 PM with Liturgy on Thursday morning at 11 AM at St. Nicholas.Services for Fr. William at SS. Peter and Paul in Rockaway are pending as the Bee is being printed. There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden 3-82+))'3)>8F)G)41'#3#-4*# eight years and was paralyzed. And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed." Then he arose immediately. So all who dwelt at Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord. At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room. And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, he presented her alive. And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord. Today s Gospel Reading: John 5:1-15 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, "It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed." He answered them, "He who made me well said to me, 'Take up your bed and walk.' " Then they asked him, "Who is the Man who said to you, 'Take up your bed and walk'?" But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you." The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

Families camping together in the Camp cabins and participating in a weekend of services, games, discussions, activities and challenges that are all designed to help families deepen their relationship with God and with one another. Registration closes after Friday, June th Reunion Weekend Set at Camp Nazareth, May 20 The first annual Camp Nazareth Alumni Day to be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 on the grounds of the Camp. All former Campers, Staff, Volunteers and Clergy alumni, and their families, are invited to attend the event. This includes the alumni from the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh and the Episcopal Diocese of Northwest Pennsylvania, both long-time user groups of the Camp. This first Alumni Day will include prayer services, fellowship time, dancing performances, a barbeque lunch, tours, presentations, of course a Camp craft, slideshows, a special Remember When segment of the day, and a whole lot more as we continue to celebrate Camp Nazareth s 40th Anniversary Alumni will have the opportunity to see their old Camp friends, share their fond memories of Camp, and meet other members of the Camp Nazareth family. 6 Camp Nazareth s Field of Dreams As many of you know, we are marking the 40 th anniversary of the establishment and dedication of Camp Nazareth. But in 1977, the first year of camping, there was no field of dreams for softball and baseball at the new diocesan facility for youth. After the Altar Boys Retreat, which took place there in August of that year, a plan of action was developed to raise funds for a baseball by the Knights of the Altar. A diocesan wide campaign, instituted later that year by which Altar Boys, had them selling specially designed Camp Nazareth wooden baseball bat pens to fund a field. The drive was so successful that before the boys returned for the next season, the new field was ready for the new camping season. Over all the decades of camp life, the original ball field, provided by the efforts of scores of Altar Boys, remains a jewel in this beautiful place, in among the mountains, where you can find God everywhere

7 Diocesan Altar Boy Retreat 2017 June 25-June 28, Christ the Saviour Seminary The American Carpatho Russian Orthodox Diocese is once again pleased to host the annual Altar Boy Retreat, centered at Christ the Savior Cathedral in Johnstown, PA. Our theme this year is the "The Mother of God..let us magnify her in song." We will be learning about the Feast Days of the Mother of God and also the traditional plain chant hymns that accompany each Feast. We will also travel to St. Nicholas Church in Homestead, PA on Tuesday for dinner and then will go to PNC Park to see the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Tampa Bay Rays Electronic registration is strongly encouraged this year as the Diocese is moving all events to a common registration process.
