God is at work at Trinity. Let s show up, step up, and look up to all we are called. In these weeks of Stewardship Season, we have been talking about how God is at work in our lives and through Trinity Church. Pledge Sunday, when we will gather and bless all the pledges received so far, is on Sunday, November 19. Pledging sooner rather than later is also helpful to Trinity s budgeting process. 9 HIGHLIGHTS Forum: Scientific racism, embodiment & fighting for health equity: Black Health Matters Sun., 11/12, 10:15 am-11 am, Trinity Church Dr. Nancy Krieger, Professor of Social Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, will present during the Forum as part of the third annual Anne Berry Bonnyman Symposium themed Is Inequality Bad for Our Health? One of the most highly cited researchers in her field, Dr. Krieger has been a faculty member at Harvard for 22 years and a powerful, persuasive advocate for social justice and public health. Guest Preacher: Bishop Dwayne Royster Sun., 11/12, 9 and 11:15 am services Bishop Royster, Pastor of the Faith United Church of Christ in Washington, D.C. and Political Director of People Improving Communities through Organizing (PICO) will offer the sermon as part of the Bonnyman Symposium. Bishop Royster has served in Pastoral ministry for the past 20 years in a variety of positions and denominations in the United Methodist Church, The Mennonite Church and the Baptist Church Traditions. Folk Music Singing Workshop: Northern Harmony Sun., 11/12, 1-2:30 pm, St. Andrew s Hall (Trinity Church) Northern Harmony, the unique world music choir based in Vermont, will teach a selection of South African songs and dances, contemporary American shape-note songs, and songs from Georgia and the Balkans. In their teaching they pay close attention to the distinctive authentic vocal timbres and body language associated with the various singing traditions.
