My husband and I divorced almost seven years ago and his porn addiction was at the middle of it all and when Mr. Friel says that it will destroy your marriage if you let it, it will. When he described what marriage was intended to look like and be, I wept, it sounded beautiful, we wouldn't be divorced had we experienced that instead of the other. No one is man enough to admit they struggle with lus t, yet it's "every man's battle". This isnt just about porn... it's about driving down the street... walking thru the store... goin g to the park... and even going to church. C'mon guys... get some backbone and admit this weakness that is in each one of us. This preacher is right, men have the capacity to be absolute dogs. I can not tell you of a sermon on keeping sex holy yet I can tell you that the Lord God who is Holy has a vehement jealou sy for the preservation of the pristine concept of what intimacy should be between husband and wife. There are many pr eachers out right now that are saying that anything is lawful between spouses when it comes to intimacy. This I believe to be a malicious attack from hell itself. Hell is vomiting its desires into the undiscerning minds of christian husbands and wives. This causes them to be on a ne ver ending nose to the grind stone pursuit of "hotter" and better intimacy. So much so that they are not able to enjoy wh at God has given. When a husband can not enjoy intimacy with his wife unless it is done in a method that he saw in a w ebsite or rated R movie then, he has allowed his God given libido to be seared with the hot iron of worldly sensuality. Be cause of this the couple go to church on Sunday but eat and drink from the cup of devils in their bedroom. I know some might say that is your subjective opinion. Yet I would say that the level of iritation and frustration you one w ould have with what I am sharing is indeed the level of dominance that the god of this world has over your relationship wi th you and your spouse as it relates to intimacy. Men who pursue forms of sex that "feels better" may find themselves in the day of eternity regretting that they allowed G ods original intention for marital sex to be marred by selfish lusts that were fueled by illicit images and memories. Husbands and wives must remember that their bodies are in fact the temple of the "Holy" Spirit. God has warned that w ho ever defiles this temple, Him will God destroy. That warning alone should be enough incentive to make us warry of tr eating our spouses bodies in a way that is dishonorable, even if husband and wife delight in the act. As a single man it can be quite trying at times. I would prefer to be single for the rest of my life, at 40 that may not be possible. It would be nice if God would strip us (I mean men and women) of our natural desire to procreate- but is that practica ble? This is not how God deals with this as nice and simple as that would be. Paul told Timothy to FLEE fornication. This means to RUN. FLEE youthful lusts that war against the soul. This is a 'RUN Forest RUN' type of thing. You are no match for this type of thing. We are told not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. We are told blessed is the man that condemneth not him self in the thing that he (she) alloweth. We are told to lay aside every weight. We are told to exercise our senses to disce rn good and evil. This means using your eyelids among other things. We are told to guard our hearts with all diligence fo r out of it are the issues of life. We are told to have an attitude of shamefacedness (downcast eyes)- that does not look t he opposite sex directly in the eyes and face. And many many other practical commands. For some it will mean setting fire to their modem. For others it may mean to stop watching certain TV programs that start the process of lusting. Lust is a desire that seeks to control you. It is a bottomless pit. The more you feed it the more po werful the thirst. It is never full. The eye is not satisfied with seeing. Women struggle with pornography also BTW. Generally these types of struggles come in cycles. A pattern. I believe Go d intervenes in the lives of people or it would not be a pattern at all- it would be a continual downhill slide into perdition. Page 3/6

4 So for some it is a fall down- get up - fall down - get up pattern. In most cases God's grace breaks off the temptation bef ore it totally takes hold. Again, this, I believe, is why it is often a pattern and not a downward progression. Folk are praying for a deliverance when God already said that for us to be rid of all such temptation we must needs go o ut of the world. We have to learn what God says about these types of sins and obey the word. DO what it says. If it says not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill it's lusts- ask yourself; would I fall if I got rid of that (whatever 'that' may be)? Have I stepping stones to sin in my life that facilitate me sinning making me easy prey for the enemy? The famous last w ords of a Christian are, "I can handle this!" They handle it all right. Everyone would like to be out of the range of the enemy and say, "I can't be tempted with that type of sin." No one is so sanctified that they are not temptable. And when you 'think' you stand- take heed lest you fall. The world is a spiritual mi nefield. The internet is a spiritual minefield. A person can talk trash like they have the victory one day and the next be t hrust into the throes of some temptation. An attitude of, "What's wrong with everyone else?" develops. So remember- we are not too spiritual to obey the simple teachings of scripture. Paul wrote to a Church in the midst of a lust filled pagan world. His counsel as well as the wrest of God's word will keep us from sin if we so desire. If not- a thou sand proven methods would not stop you from being snared. You can block every page with bad language to chat sites to porn sites, you can set a time-limit witch INTERNET is available, Ive pretty much blocked all sites except the ones i visit daily, if anyone want to visit another site they have to ask my permission, when the kids want to use or so on. If you are single and battling this problem and you don't want to get rid of the computer, maybe someone else could type a password? Get it for free here ( K9 web protection Page 4/6

I am single, and I got my Mother to put a password in for me. You can get anyone to put a password in, just don't get yo ur best buddy to do it, let it be a woman. Woman hate pornography and they do not pity in your time of 'need'. We men have a tendency to think that we don't need protection like a filtering program, that we are strong enough and th at we can handle it. I've never met a man who could handle it yet. Re:, on: 2007/5/22 7:00 i can recommend a INTERNET filter named blue coat K9 web protection, this is a very good one i think I just used "test a site" on the Blue Coat K9 site and didn't like the results. I put in a pornographic website address and it actually displayed the site. When I went to click on a link on that site, my safeeyes program kicked into gear and blocked it. My program rejects "youtube" as a reputable site, K9 considers it a premium site. Re: - posted by hmmhmm (), on: 2007/5/22 7:07 well you can "change" the level of blocking, when installed its medium, and i did some tests and as you say it showed so me sites i didn't like, so i changed it to high and almost every site is blocked, except those i have told the program to do an exception on. The devil is dragging one of Go d's greatest gifts through the gutter. The key is not to feed the flesh, but allow the Holy Spirit to do His mighty work in us.
