Blessed Assurance No. 572 Perfect submission all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest; watching and waiting, looking above, filled with His goodness, lost in His love. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long; this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long. BENEDICTION POSTLUDE Sanctuary Thompson/Scruggs MARK 4:35-41 (NIV) That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, Let us go over to the other side. Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, Teacher, don t you care if we drown? He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, Quiet! Be still! Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith? They were terrified and asked each other, Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him! CONGREGATION PLEASE STAND (AS YOU ARE ABLE) Assisted Hearing devices and large print hymnals and bulletins are available for use during services. Please contact an usher if you would like to use one of these. 3

CHIMES PRELUDE Fantasia on All Hail the Power arr. Broughton BRINGING IN THE LIGHT WELCOME, REGISTRATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS CALL TO WORSHIP L: Welcome dear friends where today we proclaim how good it is when we live together in unity. P: Unity is like precious anointing oil from God which is poured on the head and covers the entire body. L: Unity is like the dew on the mountains holy mountains like Mt. Hermon and Mt. Zion where the blessings of God for all people have been proclaimed. P: May we strive to live united with one another in the love of God and may we endeavor to unite with all of God s children as our ultimate act of worship. HYMN Alleluia! Sing to Jesus No. 377 (Verses 1-3) PRAYER OF THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY (In Unison) Loving and gracious God, we gather today to celebrate our faith and unity in Christ as your children. We ask that as we worship today you will speak to our hearts and guide us in your ways. We pray that your love would manifest itself in our lives by the way we love and accept one another as you love and accept us. 4

L: Let us now pray together the prayer that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us: P: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
