A NOTE FROM FATHER Dear Parishioners, Happy Resurrection Day!!! With all the angels and saints we sing those words that ought to bring joy to every human heart, Jesus Christ is Risen, just as He said. He is risen indeed, ALLELUIA! This not just a historical fact or a theological opinion with no effect. The Resurrection transforms everything. We have hope of salvation, the promise of eternal life with Christ. But only when we follow Him, for He is THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life. Sunday after Sunday, we gather to celebrate this day - Christ s Resurrection form the dead is what gives every other Sunday joy. Next weekend, we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday. While a little late as the novena began on Good Friday, please consider joining the novena for Divine mercy. I will post the prayers each day on my blog site at frtodd.blogspot.com. will also post the novena prayers for Pentecost there starting May 26 (the official day of the Ascension which is now transferred to the following Sunday). An Investment with Eternal Rewards This summer we will be sending 5 teens from our parish to attend Franciscan LEAD prior to the Steubenville North Conference. LEAD is a fiveday, Christ-centered, sacrament-soaked, prayerfueled immersion in Catholic teachings on l e a d e r s h i p, e v a n g e l i z a t i o n, a n d discipleship. Participants are given practical tools for developing their faith and evangelizing their friends. Many of our teens that have attended this training have come home to be EDGE core members, Eucharistic ministers, daily mass attendees and others have even become full-time missionaries! I am looking for a few generous people, with a heart for our youth, that would be willing to invest in and financially support this wonderful group of teens. Each of these teens will need to raise $350 for the entire week.
