We confess that we have not welcomed the light, or trusted good news to be good. We have closed our eyes to glory in our midst, expecting little, and hoping for less. Forgive our doubt, and renew our hope, so that we may receive the fullness of your grace, and live in the truth of Christ the Lord. Amen. (silent confession) Kyrie (Hymnal No. 565) Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Declaration of Pardon Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the gospel. People: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. Thanks be to God! *Passing the Peace Leader: Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us share the peace of Christ with one another. The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. People: And also with you. The congregation may exchange with one another, by words and gesture, signs of peace and reconciliation. *Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen. x

All things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross. *Hymn 48 Lo, How a Rose E er Blooming es ist ein ros The Sacrament of Baptism (10:50 a.m.) Presentation of Tithes & Offerings Offertory Holy Child T. We are delighted that you have joined us for worship today and pray that you experience the presence of Jesus Christ in our midst. For more information about St. Andrew and our ministry together, please stop by the Visitor s Welcome Center in the narthex. If you are interested in becoming a member of this congregation, we will gladly provide you with that information. As today is the last Sunday of the month, the session, our governing body, will be in the parlor following the 10:50am worship service to receive new members. A Note from Steve As 2012 draws to a close, the Session and Stewardship committee extend a grateful thank you for all your financial support this year. It is with mixed feelings, however, that we share the fact that pledged giving for 2012 is behind by roughly $60,000. If you can complete your 2012 pledge by the end of December, the Session and I would be hugely grateful. If you are unable to do that, please know that we understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly. Again, many thanks for all you have done and are doing, and for tending to this year-end need. We eagerly look forward to the New Year as we serve our congregation and our community together as faithful followers of Jesus Christ. 2013 Flower Roster Posted The 2013 Flower Roster has been posted on the bulletin board in the office hallway.
