Thrift Shop LAST SUNDAY TO SIGN UP MOTHER S DAY LUNCHEON The annual Mother s Day Luncheon, sponsored by the Women s Christian Service Fellowship (W.C.S.F.), will be Saturday, May 7, from 11:30 1:30 p.m. The theme is Hats Off to All Moms. Please join us with your family and friends, for a wonderful time. The combined 4C Choirs will provide the entertainment, Songs from the Sound of Music. Please sign up in the breezeway on Sunday mornings or call the church office at (623) 935-3411. If your last name begins with A R, please bring a salad that will serve 6 8. GRADUATION SUNDAY Graduation Sunday will be Sunday, May 15. There will be a breakfast in the breezeway that morning to honor the graduating high school seniors and their families. The graduates will be recognized in the 9:15 a.m. service. If you have a family member who is graduating from high school, college, graduate school, trade school, or any other type facility, please contact the church office by Friday, May 6, so we can offer our congratulations. VBS TEAM UP WITH JESUS It s time to begin planning for our 2016 Vacation Bible School with our Olympic theme, Team Up With Jesus. Our week-long session will serve children from 3 years old-5 th grade, Monday, June 6 Friday, June 10, from 6:30 8:00 p.m. each evening. Adults and youth are needed for this important ministry to the children in our community. Helpers will need to be available from 6:00-8:30 p.m. each night. See the sign-up sheets in the breezeway to find a job that matches your talents! If you have questions, please contact Pastor Kerri. ADULT BIBLE STUDIES Bible Study is held on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. in Souers Hall. The next two weeks we will explore several different types of prayer. WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES Dinner Wednesday evening will include Taco salad, refried beans, rice and sherbet, served at 6:00 p.m. in Souers Hall. Please check the bulletin and calendar of weekly activities for exact times and locations for 4C, Handbells, CLP Café, G.O. Kids Rec Room, Chancel Choir, Bible Study, and G. O. Kids. MEN S FELLOWSHIP On Saturday, May 7, at 7:00 a.m., all men are invited to join the Men s Fellowship breakfast followed by a discussion on Agents of Babylon in the Fireside Room. Dr. David Jeremiah examines prophecy through the eyes of the book of Daniel, explains what the prophecies mean, and helps us understand how these prophetic visions and dreams apply to our lives today. CLP TO HOST LAST P.O.W.W.O.W. FOR SEASON - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED P.O.W.W.O.W. stands for Produce on Wheels Without Waste. The church will host this group for the last time this season on May 14. The non-profit organization is an outreach of Borderland Food Bank in Nogales, which rescues surplus produce from growers in southern Arizona. Anyone who contributes $10 can shop for up to 60 lbs. of fresh and nutritious, rescued produce. If you are interested in serving as a volunteer on Saturday, May 14, contact the church office at (623) 935-3411 or info@churchatlitchfieldpark.org. The sale will be between 7:00-10:00 a.m., but volunteers will have shifts assigned earlier and later for setup, distribution and clean up. If you would like to learn more about the organization and the types of produce available, please visit their website: www.borderlandfoodbank.org. W.C.S.F. THRIFT SHOP The Women s Christian Service Fellowship Thrift Shop will be open on Saturday, May 7, from 8:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. Monies raised are used to fund various W.C.S.F projects, missions and ministries. Donations that are clean and in working order are always welcome. Donations may be dropped off Friday, May 6, from 8:30 10:30 a.m., and the last day to donate for the season will be May 18.
