Torres (williamtorres72@yahoo.com) Deputy Grand Knight: Thad Taubert (THADTAUBERT@ATT.net) Financial Secretary: Hector Torres (kofc@olghelotes.org) Insurance Agent: Richard Barrera (Richard.barrera@kofc.org) Newsletter Editor: George Freund (gtfreund@outlook.com) Knights of Columbus, Council 8306: web address (www.kc-olg.org) Happy New Year! Again Brothers, Tempus Fugit, Memento Mori, Time Flies, Remember Death. Welcome, 2018! This time of the year can be emotionally draining on us. PRAY. This year after all the gifts are opened, that may have set us a little in debt and the family has left can be a burden not only financially but emotionally, PRAY. This time of the year we reminiscence on the years prior to loved ones who may no longer be with us. PRAY. Praying and prayer hold the key to our spiritual and emotional well-being. There is a prayer for whatever we are going through. 2017 wasn t the best for me personally, lots of lows with a few highs. Prayer got me through it. Prayer will get you through this. And if you re not going through any hard times offer prayers for those that may be dealing with a little too much this holiday season. Please keep in prayer our own Deputy Grand Knight Thad Taubert s- Mother, who went to be with our Lord this past week. Keep his mom, him and his family in prayer. Friendly reminder that Brother Dennis Chaput and Brother Marcus Garcia are Director and Co- Director of this year's Men s A.C.T.S. Retreat. If you or any of your fellow Brothers in Christ have not attended, this is your invitation to go. We are offering a scholarship to a Brother that may want to go but cannot find it within their budget to attend. Please see Dennis, Marcus or me for further information. Please take advantage of this. The retreat is in a few weeks. Spots are filling up fast. Happy New Year if I haven t seen you in a while. You are all in my prayers, and I kindly request you keep me in yours. See you Wednesday! May God Bless You All. VIVAT JESUS! Reynaldo Maldonado, Jr. Grand Knight 1
