Page 2 FAITH FORMATION By Grace Lakatos Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! May the news of the Risen Lord resound in your hearts. A joyous and blessed Easter Sunday to all of you from the Faith Formation volunteers and their families and from my family and me. Adult Confirmation Preparation Classes: Are you an adult, practicing Catholic, 18 years or older, who has not yet celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation? Would you like to publicly confirm your baptismal commitment by completing your initiation into the Church? If the answer is yes to each of these questions, please read on to find out how you can prepare for the celebration of Confirmation. Each Pentecost Sunday adults from all over the Archdiocese of Detroit who have been prepared in the parishes or vicariates come together to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. This celebration takes place at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, with one of our Bishops. In our West Wayne Vicariate, we are offering a six week preparation time for adult Catholics who wish to be confirmed on Pentecost Sunday, June 3rd. These sessions are open to anyone in the Vicariate who is eligible and who may want to prepare for Confirmation. To be eligible means you are a baptized Catholic who has received his First Communion, you regularly attend Mass, and if you are married, it is a marriage valid in the Catholic Church. The preparation sessions will be held on the six Thursdays of Easter season, beginning April 27th from 7-9 PM. All Adult Confirmation sessions will take place at St. Kateri Parish Hall. $20 fee per person is payable on the first night. Deadline for registration is April 17, 2017. If you are interested, contact Grace Lakatos, Faith Formation Director at 313.336.3227 or dre@stkateridearborn.org. SCHOOL BELLS Sacred Heart Mom 2Mom Sale: April 29th from 9 AM to 1 PM. I only know the names of two angels Hark and Harold Gregory 5 My guardian angel helps with math, but he s not much good for science. Henry 8 When an angel gets mad, he takes a deep breath and counts to ten. And when he lets out his breath, somewhere there is a tornado. Regan 10 Some of the angels are in charge of helping heal sick animals and pets. And if they don t make the animals get better, they help the kid get over it. Vicki 8 All angels are now girls because they gotta wear dresses and boys didn t go for it. Antonia 9 It is not easy to become an angel! First you die. Then you go to heaven then there s still the flight training to go through. And then you got to agree to wear these angel clothes. Matthew 9 STAFF Rev. Terrence D. Kerner, Pastor Rev.
