The dcument may be used by existing and new members f the Welcme & Hspitality Department fr them t understand hw things wrk in the Welcme & Hspitality Department. Any questins shuld be directed t the leadership f the Welcme & Hspitality Department r the Pastrate f the Rehbth Assembly The Welcme & Hspitality Department The Welcme &Hspitality Department is an arm f the church respnsible fr prviding first time wrshippers t the church warm receptin and create a psitive impressin f the church in their heart smething that wuld make them want t be part f the Rehbth family. First Time Wrshippers refers t thse attending ur Church Service fr the first time r the first time after a lng time. The Welcme & Hspitality Department als handles the management f New Cnverts. Prviding fllw up and ensuring that they are firmly established in the faith The Visin f the Welcme & Hspitality Department The Welcme & Hspitality department f RCCG Rehbth Assembly is a ministry f service and The Visin f the Welcme & Hspitality Department is based n service t thers and is fund in Hebrews 13:2 (NIV) Shw Hspitality t Strangers and Acts 15:36 Let us nw g back and visit ur brethren in every city where we have preached the wrd f the Lrd, and see hw they are ding. Based n this, the visin f the Welcme & Hspitality Department is t: Prvide a memrable welcme t ur first time wrshippers t encurage them t jin the Church while supprting New Cnverts t ensure they are established in the Faith The Purpse f the Welcme & Hspitality Department The Welcme & Hspitality Members are like the Welcme and Fllw-Up sectin f the Church. The summary f the purpse f the Department are as fllws: 1. Welcming First Time Wrshippers (At Church) 2. Fllw-up First Time Wrshippers t ensure they identify and participate in Huse Fellwship. 3. Crdinating the Fllw Up fr New Cnverts thrugh varius channels. 2

Crdinating the Welcme Dinner fr First Time Wrshippers(Time ut with Pastr) The Cre Values f the Welcme & Hspitality Department The Welcme & Hspitality Department has cre values which every member shuld demnstrate. Every Welcme & Hspitality Member shuld be: 1. SPIRITUAL: Since we understand that the physical is cntrlled by the spiritual, the Welcme & Hspitality Department takes ur spiritual lives especially prayers and studying f the wrd very seriusly. Jhn 6:63 (NKJV) It is the Spirit that gives life, the flesh prfits nthing : 2. POLITE AND CHEERFUL: as we will be interacting with peple frm different backgrunds the Welcme & Hspitality Members will always maintain a plite and cheerful cuntenance with all. 3. ORGANIZED: as a department that is t rganize the welcme f first time wrshippers and the fllw up f new cnverts, it is expected that every member has a high level f rganizatin shwn in their individual lives as well. 4. EXCELLENT: Our Welcme & Hspitality Members are cmmitted t efficiency and excellence, always lking fr ways t imprve - because ur Gd is a Gd f Excellence. 5. PATIENT: Our Welcme & Hspitality Members are cmmitted t exhibiting patience at all times having in mind that a lt f peple cme with different burdens. (Gal 5:22-23) 6. MODEST: It is imprtant that members display an attitude f humility that seeks t please Gd rather than man r self. Members shuld be characterized by restraint and selfcntrl and dignity in dress, speech and actins. (I Timthy 2:8-10, 1 Peter 3:1-4, 1 Peter 5:5-6) 1.2 Expectatins frm Welcme & Hspitality Members Spiritual Respnsibility All members f the Welcme & Hspitality Department are expected t maintain a high level f spirituality at all times t enable them effectively minister t first time wrshippers and new cnverts in Gd s vineyard (1 Peter 4:9-11). Hwever, each member f the department is expected t: a) Spend quality time praying and studying the Wrd f Gd Acts 6: 4 But we will give urselves cntinually t prayer, and t the ministry f the wrd i. Jshua ministered unt Mses but he als lked int spiritual matters. Ex. 24:12 & 13 (KJV) And the Lrd said unt Mses, Cme up t me int the munt, and Mses rse up, and his minister Jshua: and Mses went up int the munt f Gd. ii. Elisha was als a minister t Elijah and eventually became a great man f Gd in Israel. I Kings 19:21 Then he (Elisha) arse, went after Elijah, and ministered unt him 3

(Matthew 20:25-28, Jhn 13:4-10, Revelatin 7:15) d) Be led by the Hly Spirit t witness and win suls as exemplified by the fllwing disciples; i. Philip: - Wh preached Christ all ver Samaria and turned many t the saving grace f Jesus Christ. (Acts 8:5-40) ii. Stephen: - Being full f Hly Ghst fcused his attentin t heaven as he ministered irrespective f the threat t his life. (Acts 7:51-58) Respnsibility t Self-Imprvement All Welcme & Hspitality Members are expected t cntinually seek ways t imprve themselves in the area f service f the Welcme & Hspitality Department. While the church will prvide pprtunities fr the members t imprve themselves, each member is als encuraged t take it as a persnal respnsibility. Therefre each member is expected t a) Find ut better ways f perfrming the duties f the Welcme & Hspitality department. b) Cntinue t seek faster and better ways f perfrming tasks fr excellent service delivery. c) Attend seminars and prgrammes that will assist in imprving his/her skills and effectiveness in assigned areas Respnsibility t Rehbth Assembly The Welcme & Hspitality Department as a department f the Rehbth Assembly is expected t abide by the regulatins f the Church. Accrdingly, every member f the department is expected t be: a) Subject t Authrity: Heb.13:17 Obey them that have the rule ver yu, and submit yurselves: fr they watch fr yur suls, as they that must give accunt, that they may d it with jy, and nt with grief: fr that is unprfitable fr yu. The kingdm f Gd is a Thecracy and nt a demcracy as such every member is expected t bey instructins given by the Pastrate and the Leader f the Welcme & Hspitality Department. b) Invlved in Church Activities: Heb.10:25 Nt frsaking the assembling f urselves tgether, as the manner f sme is. As respnsible wrkers in His vineyard, members are expected t cme regularly and punctually fr church services and meetings. These meetings include: Wrkers Meeting Sunday Services Sunday Schl Classes Midweek Services Huse Fellwships Special Services/Meetings 4

As instructed by the Pastr, any Welcme & Hspitality Team member wh des nt attend the wrkers meeting fr the day will nt be allwed t wrk withut a special apprval frm the Pastr. d) Regular and Punctual fr all meetings rganized by the Welcme & Hspitality Department e) Prayerfully prepare fr any activity he/she may be assigned t perfrm f) Available fr any tasks assigned during the services and meetings. g) Cmmitted t prviding excellent service fr any assigned tasks with the Welcme & Hspitality Department and church at large. 1.3 Welcme & Hspitality Department Meetings and Activities The meetings and activities perfrmed by members f the department includes but nt limited t; Welcming First Time Wrshippers (At Church) The tasks invlved in this include: a) Receive and welcme first time wrshippers n behalf f the Pastrate. b) Obtain their cntact details thrugh the Let s knw yu card i. Ensure they fill the cards with accurate and cmplete infrmatin. c) Cmmunicate the Church Visin t them. d) Cmmunicate the church prgrams and activities (Time fr church services) e) Offer them light snacks and drinks. f) Pray with them and lead them t Christ as directed by the Spirit. g) Enjin them t participate in the Sunday Schl h) Infrm them abut the different Huse-Fellwship Centres t help them lcate the ne clsest t where they live. i) Listen t their cmments and address their questins/cncerns. j) Discuss any ther matter that may be f benefit t new cmers r t the Church. k) Ensure that the first time wrshippers are later welcmed thrugh church and a fllw-up phne call. i. Usually evening f same day, but nt later than the next day 5
