Ephes. 1:7 (NLT) He is so rich in kindness that He purchased our freedom through the blood of His Son, and our sins are forgiven. (Msg) we re a free people free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! Col. 1:14 (NLT) God has purchased our freedom with His blood and has forgiven all our sins. Hebrews 8:12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 2:12 I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name. John 10:27-30 (NLT) My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, and they follow Me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. Romans 8:38-39 (NLT) And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can t, and life can t. The angels can t, and the demons can t. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can t keep God s love away. 39 Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Peter 1:4 (NLT) For God has reserved a priceless inheritance for His children. It is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. Romans 11:29 (NLT) For God s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn. What were the recurring themes you saw in these verses? When you read through these verses that say your sins are forgiven and forgotten, what thoughts come to mind? Is there one particular sin you have committed that does not fall under these verses? Do you believe that God has some arbitrary system where He classifies your sins by how bad they are? Regardless of your answer, what do you base your beliefs on? In light of these verses, what do you believe God is trying to reveal to you? and reveal about ALL your sins? Last Week to Purchase Discounted Women of Faith Tickets Our $30 discount is only good through March 21 and then tickets need to be purchased directly through Women of Faith at full price. If you need to purchase them using cash or check you can contact Denise in the church office and she can take care of you. This year they are not offering any seating cheaper than the $77 which will go up to $107 at the end of March so get your order in! Discover New Cov Class, March 29 Want to learn more about New Cov; how to get involved; become a member; or just find out what we re all about? This informal class will meet March 29 from 12:30-2:30pm in the Flipside. Join us in Room 203 and then be our guest at the Youth Pancake Feed right after our second service. Part Time Custodian Needed New Covenant is seeking a woman or man for a part time (15-25 hours per week) paid custodial position. This position requires that you be a regular attendee of New Covenant and be able to work a flexible schedule (some evening, weekend & holiday hours will be required). We are putting together our Hospitality Teams for the current year. We would love to have you join us...welcome and connect guests and regular attenders during Sunday worship services. Local Opportunities Royal Family Kids Benefit Auction Thursday, March 26 at 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00 for viewing) at the Cornhusker Marriott. Please help Royal Family KIDS send abused and neglected children (ages 6-12) to camp this year! This all volunteer group will have tickets for sale in the Gathering Space or online at newcovchurch.org and click on the RFK slide. Stuff the Bus for Friendship Home! April 11 and 12 We will be stationed at all Lincoln Walmart and Sam s Club stores collecting new, basic needs items for the victims of domestic violence at Friendship Home. The amount of donations we receive depends on YOU! Please consider signing up for a volunteer shift at Stuff the Bus this year. 300 volunteers are needed to hand out needs lists to customers, accept donations, sell raffle tickets and share information about Friendship Home. Be a part of this heartwarming experience and sign up by contacting Tracy at tracy@newcovchurch.org. Sign Up and Serve Fresh Start Reserve any Sunday in 2015 to provide, prepare and enjoy Sunday Dinner with the residents of Fresh Start Home. Gift cards are available through a grant recently awarded to Fresh Start to assist with food cost. For details contact lalanne@newcovchurch.org. 7 Global Opportunities Appetite For Education Sign-up Today Each year New Covenant supports a school in Asia where children receive support to provide clothes, food and school supplies. This past year one of the items they received was new sweaters. Just $10 a month means the difference of a child being able to attend school and learning to read and write. Your support supplements the ability for these parents to feed their children and encourages them to let them attend school.
