2 GOOD MORNING FAMILY..thoughts from DAVID Every day FedEx sends over four million packages to valued customers. FedEx s delivery routes cover every U.S. street and service more than 220 countries. In order to send well, FedEx has over 170,000 employees, 675 aircrafts, 50,000 ground transportation vehicles, and 1,800 office locations. It s a bit mysterious, but somehow FedEx has figured out a way for customers to ship packages within a one day turnaround. If FedEx knows anything they know how to send well! The church may not be in the package delivery business, but she is in the people delivery business. At least that s what Jesus wanted the church to be about! However, sending people isn t always the top priority in churches and, if we are being honest, sometimes the church hasn t done a good job sending out laborers for the Lord s harvest. FedEx has a unique way of looking at the world. FedEx operates with a deep conviction that everyone in the world should have the ability to send and receive packages. God may not be all too concerned about packages being delivered on time, but the Scriptures make it clear that God desires all people to receive the message of salvation and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4). God operates with a deep conviction that everyone should have the ability to send and receive eternal hope! What is God s distribution plan? Simply put God s people. 4 MARCH!!! Spring s Around the Corner FYI Just a reminder that Daylight Saving Time Begins on March 10!!! SPRING FORWARD!!! SHOW ME Show Me Christian Youth Home was rescheduled and will be here with us on March 10 to give us an update on the work they are doing. Be here to support these people and visit with some of the kids. BIBLE STUDIES Wednesday Night Bible Studies are trying to get going again (weather issues!). Meet at 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall for dinner and then the study. Another small group will meet in the library on Thursday mornings at 9:00 am beginning March 14. This study will be Between Two Trees. The Bible ends where it begins.in a garden, in the shade of the tree of Life. The problem is, life isn t lived under Eden s tree of life or beneath the healing leaves of the tree in the new Jerusalem. We live between these two trees where life is hard. Come and discover hope and healing at the tree between these two trees of life: the cross of Calvary. BREAKFAST March 17 The DCC Youth will be hosting a fundraiser breakfast to help with the expenses of their upcoming CIY trip. This will be immediately after the Worship Service & Sunday School. Please stay and enjoy a meal and fellowship as you support our youth. MISSION of the MONTH China Bible Fund BOARD MEETING Sunday, March 17 after Sunday School CAMP..CAMP..CAMP It s not too early to begin thinking about camp this summer. As you know, we will be going to Oregon, MO to the Flaming Spirit Camp. There will be more details coming up and encouragement for the youth to try this camp this year. 5 Lingering with Lawania If the mountain seems too big today then climb a hill instead if the morning brings you sadness it's okay to stay in bed if the day ahead weighs heavy and your plans feel like a curse there's no shame in rearranging don't make yourself feel worse if a shower stings like needles and a bath feels like you'll drown if you haven't washed your hair for days don't throw away your crown a day is not a lifetime a rest is not defeat don't think of it as failure just a quiet, kind retreat it's okay to take a moment from an anxious, fractured mind the world will not stop turning while you get realigned the mountain will still be there when you want to try again you can climb it in your own time just love yourself til then THE CHURCH WINDOW PAGE 5
